I realize I'm biased and just don't want to see Gina losing her grip on what I think is a surprisingly good recast so far with a bunch of OTT chemistry tests (and I know the show will be doing them anyway), but am I one of very few who think she is great with Peter Bergman?

Today's episode was pretty good. My biggest qualm was the fact that they had Victor, Phyllis and Jack all talking over/filling in information when they should have SHUT UP and let Sharon talk. SC is such a trooper. I thought it was a huge missed opportunity to not let SC shine her. ITA - Major kudos to the writers for having Phyllis mention not only the switch, but what it cost her. The weird thing is that the OTT performance by GT lost the true meaning here - Phyllis KNOWS why Sharon did it and deep down relates to it. Yeah, Phyllis is PO'd because of the accident, but deep down Phyllis is thrilled that Summer is Nick's and not Jack's. I hope this doesn't turn into a complete dumping of Sharon and that somebody stands up for her (plus, let her take responsibility and grow, not spin into madness again). I'm hoping this is where Mariah steps up.

It's hard for me to feel sympathy for Great Aunt Jack considering how many kids he has had and doesn't give a rats....

Gina Tognonis Phyllis much meaner, more calculating and much more hardcore serious. I am loving every minute of her. Gina is a chemistry magnet she has chemistry with everyone. The casting of her is just stellar. Even though La Diva Sullivan came close to Phyllis it would have been different had she played her.

I LOL'D when he said that......I was sort of pissed for some reason that they had him in bandages, and didn't really show his face......That's sort of a cop out IMO.....also considering it didn't seem like he was all bandaged up when he was spying on Billy and Chelsea the whole time....

The reveal was pretty good.....I'm glad they had Phyllis acknowledge her past paternity schemes.....I still wish Victor would just die already, but that's not gonna happen I get it, I'm disgusted at the way both Nikki and Victoria were like "You were right all along" ..........I think Nick will eventually forgive Sharon, and I was glad that jack started to chew out Phyllis for making it all about herself till I remember that he has yet to tell her about Kelly.....

Her 4 minutes really rocked it eh? Best part of all 4 soaps today was when NuAdam told her to do him a favor and shut up!...So many characters I wish someone would tell to shut up[mostly on GH]. There's a reason she's recrring..she's just not important. I hope she gets about as many scenes as Dr. Chiverto[also recurring].

Sage is clearly little more than a bit player for Adam.

I am sure they will try to make her happen with some supporting cast in time, but it's not going to fly. Even if they put her on a contract, they'll dump her within a year. Same old story with most of the "ABC gets".

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
    • Yassss....come on Maurice and Brandon...give us nothing!!! Wow, their need to develop their craft shone like a blinding light this episode. Brandon in his Martin and Smitty scenes sounded like he was reading and the facial expressions were giving Disney Channel. He did much better against Maurice in the Martin v Ted scenes. Now, Teddd-dyy (Dana's voice) was just flat. I watched the episode just now after reading the comment on here that Maurice needs to stop swaying, and now I can't unsee it. Has it really been this bad all along?  Ambyr carries. I don't need to say anymore. I am kind of excited to see this Kat/Tomas/Eva stuff play out.  Bill is such a dick to Dani. Like that's the mother of your children that you cheated on with your daughter's best friend but you look to take those low blows. Lord! When he said that thing about it being obvious he didn't care about Dani anymore since he was the one that walked out...that was cold. I even felt for Dani. Bill definitely is all over the spectrum. You can see a villain possibly surfacing, but you also see this great father. The elder Duprees move a little funny. I'm wondering what that is all about. Are they just overly protective matriarch and patriarch because they think it's what's best for their family, or are they afraid their secrets will come out or there's something more sinister there. Why would Vernon want to keep that information from Martin?  I hope something interesting comes out of this June stuff, but as of right now, I'm not too invested. It's not helping my interest on Naomi or Jacob either. However, tge actress playing Naomi has comes a long way from day one.
