So long as it stays halfway...good God I cannot image Matthew Ashford's sorry ass being back on DAYS.

Peter Reckell, he I like, I like Bo...and with the way DAYS tapes, we'll get to see Hope move on with Aiden...and maybe, if DAYS stretches for a bit of originality, Hope will reject Bo if he comes back into her life. It would be something to see one half of a super couple truly move on and shoot down the cliche reconciliation.

To each his or her own, and I totally respect your opinion. :)

Days has pissed off so many longtime viewers like myself that any overhaul, if one is coming, will have to include a clear vision. No more newbies, at least not yet. Bring back vets and respected characters, then tie your newbies into them.

I'm just looking ahead. I recognize Hope and AIden have their fans, as do Daniel and Jennifer (ugh). But if Days doesn't do something, I fear we won't see the 51st anniversary. So many fans have deserted Days. This is our chance to come back and support the show. :)

I'd like to see him back, though I'd have no problem with Hope ultimately choosing Aiden. Reckell and Melissa Reeves always had nice chemistry, perhaps Bo could bump Daniel out of her life. They'd have to be careful, though, lest it turn into a Shane-Kayla-scale disaster.

Reckell tweeted that "it was never about the money," referring to his split with Days. I wonder, then, just what the sticking point was?

This is what I suspect. I'm guessing that's why they've stalled Aiden and Hope all those months. I figure they'll want Bo and Hope together for the 50th, in case they can lure some viewers back. I don't love it, but at the same time, they seem to be making Aiden and Nicole friends. She needs something who isn't giving her the verbal smack down every 5 mins.

If, say, he came back for the anniversary or a visit, I would rather he did so to finalize the divorce. He and Hope have sex for the last time and she naturally gets pregnant. She either passes it off as Aiden's or Aiden finds out and decides to become the child's father and raise him/her as his own. Thus, we avoid Aiden being thrown under the bus, there is no reconciliation, we get actual closure with Bo and Hope both on screen, and drama is created for months, if not years, also allowing for Bo's eventual return and the drama of the baby's paternity being revealed. PLOT TWIST

4 those of u who r concerned or have been led astray by rumors, let me clarify things. My reasons for leaving r the same as David Letterman's

He left his show of many years to spend time with his family. If you spent an hour with my daughter you'd see why I would rather be with her

Our time with our children is so very short ,I want to spend as much time as I can with my family. I missed a lot, and I had to change that

    • Ron C breakdowns usually involve quick snip scenes.. and so far, it is apparent in spades.  I wish we had the longer scenes like we had in the previous few episodes. And I see Febreeze appeared again today.  More airtime/purpose than Ashley/Derek LOL
    • I loved Felicia and Donna. They were two of the reasons I couldn't stop watching the show even when the writing was horrible. I was never really a fan of Rachel's unless she was sniping at Cecile (my fave character!). But Felicia and Donna (especially Anna Stuart) are AW to me. Of course, it was around the time of their arrivals that I remember I started watching the show. I was 10 in '83. For me, they were always there. I wouldn't have wanted either of them to be killed off.  Rachel and Mac were okay for me but I never saw most of their relationship play or Rachel's previous work with Steve and Alice. I just saw her as there; the matriarch. Never a fan of Rachel and Carl. It made no sense whatsoever.  I did like Quinn and was shocked when they killed her off. Her and Zack were just starting to become a couple I wanted to watch. She should definitely have been a fixture on the show along with her family. Carter and Thomasina I thought were fun and a great couple, too.  That's the thing about being an AW fan. The show was always on the brink of greatness, but then it would shoot itself in the foot with stupid decisions from writing to cast exits, etc. They could just never quite get it together. The cast was amazing! It's the only thing that saved them for so long.
    • I LOVED LD on AW...one of my all time favorite characters! However, on OLTL, her character was pretty pointless from the word go. I think trying to make her this character she played decades before was also a bad choice. She should have been a brand new character that could have been tied into the current canvas better. Rae really had no connections or family on the show. Imagine if she had been brought on as a recast Melinda Cramer, freshly released from the hospital. She would have been tied into a major family, be Kelly's mother, and have some real drama to play opposite RS.
    • it's up  BTG Episode #48 - May 8th cbs.com https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/vEQupDSVKChQKTvVWgX8mrUj2kCJEQTv/ paramountplus https://www.paramountplus.com/shows/video/vEQupDSVKChQKTvVWgX8mrUj2kCJEQTv/
    • I agree DZ is doing good work.  It's nice to see him getting meaty material again.  It's just off. Sonny was also low key the voice of reason saying when talking about Gio which I don't love lol.  And, yes, Dante calling a 15? 16? kid who had a couple of beers reckless at heart is silly.  I think most people had a few drinks in high school.  In isolation, the scenes with Jason/Danny were good when he was talking about AJ's drinking problem.  If you ignore everything else about what Jason did to AJ it was a good historic throwback.
    • @janea4old Tricia Mann-Grant also called Leslie a narcissist in the ET special before it premiered. Thank you! Looking forward to it.
    • -- This is maddening. DZ is acting his ass off, but the script is a mess. As you said, if Dante came down hard on Rocco, these outbursts would make some sense. Comparatively, though, Rocco got a pass, and that's just insane. Dante's not only criticizing Danny and Gio, but the people who raised them. It's just nuts. -- And then Dante goes to his father -- the mob boss killer WHO SHOT DANTE -- to declare Danny "reckless at heart." JFC. -- Kai was in the hospital for that dislocated shoulder about 3x as long as Sonny was in the hospital for his heart. Make it make sense.
    • I'm really of the mind now that Leslie really did have that abortion and Eva isn't Ted or her child.
    • Isn’t it thrilling to get that kind of buzz from a performance again? If this show had nothing else going for it (and it has other real strengths, including the actress opposite her), that would be enough to keep me invested.
