I always FF Ridge scenes until TK appeared. Trust me, I was no Zach Slater stan, but I was amazed at how quickly he won me over. I wasn't keen on the poetry reading stuff but once they moved away from that, I had no reason to FF any longer. One wonders if DAYS recast DH with someone who could act, how much stronger that show would've been. I put RM/DH in the same category... "Dudes who were given roles based on looks, but never bothered to find ways to improve their craft." (Contrast that with someone like KKL who was pretty much a hair model, but, while no Heather Tom or JJ, she clearly spent time trying to become a better actress.)

I didn't FF his scenes but me and my friend or my mom would mock RM's acting constantly. Funny you mentioned him not improving his craft...because not only did he not improve it, he got worse over the years.

I predict that Maryland is going to exit this show within a year in either a straight jacket or a casket.

Money, the establishing shots aren't new, and yes indeed, they are way too long for a show this short even though I think they look great. This is the best looking show in daytime. You should have seen some of the montages they did in Mexico, literally 3/4 of episodes devoted to shots under music with no dialogue. Very novella-like.

Considering how much they had Rick stress that at least he didnt have a baby with Caroline, I think its a given that Melanie is pregnant. Here's how I hope it goes down though. Rick and Caroline need to reunite with Marcie feeling used and pissed that she would be dropped in favor of a deceitful wife. I need for her to drop the bomb to the world that she's pregnant at a Forrester press conference. Maybe the unveiling of Caroline's new line. Carter could sense she is up to trouble and try to get rid of her, but she is resilient and makes her way to the cameras and upstages Caroline's big moment by letting them all know. Caroline would then try and have Ridge fire her but Mia threatens to sue FC for sexual harrassment and make it an even bigger scandal by letting the tabloids know how they are treating the mother to the next Forrester heir. Im going to need Brooke back for this so she can play the Stephanie role. She always loved Caroline so she could be her "Taylor" and of course the thot would be the Brooke, with her sights set on Rick and the Forrester name and fortune that go along with him

    • I don't think Chelsea has a true label just yet. She's just finding out she has an interest in women. I think the awkwardness is aligned with the character as we've seen. This is the fool who keeps filming her family when embarrassing things happen and live streaming it. I actually think it's refreshing she isn't just jumping into a relationship  and that they're playing the beats of her trying to figure out who she is.
    • Wow, do I agree with you. Chelsea is coming off as ridiculous. All she does is look for a woman to date while not caring about her business at all. That she's bi is great, but they're not writing her like she's bi. She seems to be lesbian. Yeah, I know -- "no labels." I just don't find the writing for her story to be anything other than awkward.   -- I hope we get some diagnosis finality with Bill's trip to the hospital. I don't want to see these trips to the ER every other day. -- Naomi is going to blame herself for Bill's health problems? GMAB. -- Ashley doesn't read as a real nurse in the slightest. -- Another day, another rinse and repeat conversation with Derek and Ashley. YAWN. -- Kat is making mistakes, but she's fun to watch and listen to, regardless. -- I still think the Joey/Vanessa/Doug gambling story sucks. I know Doug is deeply in debt, but I don't like him acting this meek and submissive.  -- I'm not sure what Joey's plan was from the beginning, or why he had to seduce Vanessa at all to get his way. I'm not sure what Vanessa ever saw in Joey -- why doesn't he give her the ick? -- I'm fine with a story where Doug and Vanessa take out Joey.  -- The fades to commercials were pretty bad today.
    •   Victoria's house (that she long ago lived in with Billy) burned down (I think Aunt Jordan set it ablaze?). Victoria briefly moved into the ranch after the fire, with Claire, Johnny and Katie, I think? Mariah and Tessa and baby Aria had been living in the tack house but they bought a house we've never seen and moved there. Victoria, Claire, and Cole then moved into the tack house as soon as Teriah left. I guess Victoria's children Johnny and Katie would live with Victoria at the tack house eventually? But Johnny and Katie went to boarding school during the school year. Not sure if we'll see Johnny and Katie for the summer vacation or where they would live.
    • Victoria’s previous house burned down.    And I know why characters frequent Crimson Lights 3 times a day for brownies, muffins and empty mugs:   THERE’S PCP IN EVERYTHING.
    • Today was a good episode, and the week for that matter. I think they've also done a better job with background music. The scenes in todays episode weren't as silent as they usually are in the background and it was noticeable. I think the show has found its groove well and I'm still invested.
    • Garneau was in the Liberal party and his riding was in Montreal. He was the first Canadian in outer space.
    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
