September 5, 201411 yr Member Her documentary, A Piece of Work, is eminently watchable if you haven't. It's on Netflix. It was beautiful. Highly recommended! A great insight into who she was & her work.
September 7, 201411 yr Member I saw this on twitter and it is just so charming. Joan Rivers interviewing Mr. Rogers and he breaks her with his Mr Rogers powers when he starts singing to her
September 7, 201411 yr Member Joan Rivers Remembered at Star-Studded Funeral in New York I wonder if Joan knew how many people loved and truly understood her...
September 7, 201411 yr Member Roseanne Barr wrote this great tribute piece for Huffington Post on Joan Hail, Hail, A Vagenius Has Left This Realm: Joan Rivers, Rest In Peace ----- Also, the crowds outside of her funeral looked massive, Joan must be loving this wherever she is:
September 7, 201411 yr Member A friend of mine was invited to the funeral, he did business with Joan in Toronto with Canada's Shopping Channel, the Canadian retailer for Joan's jewellery and apparel lines. I won't bother repeating the copious details that the press have already said, they're all true. But I will say these two things When the funeral concluded with Hugh Jackman singing "Quiet Please, There's a Lady on the Stage"the entire congregation gave Joan a standing ovation. There was a huge floral spray from TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. I think that detail is the one that would have thrilled Joan the most. And Peggy Noonan wrote a brilliant piece about Joan, well worth a read: http://blogs.wsj.com/peggynoonan/2014/09/05/joan-rivers-the-entertainer/

September 7, 201411 yr Member Just the fact that both Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump were at the funeral is a good example of how far she reached people's hearts, no matter who you were.
September 8, 201411 yr Member Joan Rivers Marathon on TVLand. Edited September 8, 201411 yr by reallyhateskateonlost
September 8, 201411 yr Member How were Cooper and Melissa doing? They were, by all accounts, just fine. Melissa gave a speech. Very stoic. Deborah Norville, who also gave a speech, said that Melissa proved she is her mother's daughter.
September 9, 201411 yr Member Great tribute from Chris Rock: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/chris-rock-remembers-joan-rivers-730904
September 9, 201411 yr Member He actually said she's better than Rickles. That's about as high praise as you can get.
