Members NothinButAttitude
Uh no. What Jean needs to do is RETIRE. The b*tch is tired as hell when it comes to her writing. Move on to your rest home, Jean! And take your tired ass writing and stories with you.
Members RavenWhitney
All Days needs right now is a budget so they can rebuilt all the sets and get new costumes and lighting. Poor Kassie doesn't look quite convincing as Charles Shaugnessey's daughter. But I loved the flashback of young Jen and Eve..what a hoot.
Members DaytimeFan
Loving the Kate and Sami scenes. Bliss. So your position is that despite the fact that Jean Passante is a failure she should somehow move to another show and secure employment? Ludicrous. Members KMan101
LMAO. I see your point about watching Jenny suffer. It is sort of nice. And I saw she's now clinging to a picture of Jack? Please.
Members ChitHappens
Jennifer needs to suffer and badly, but I am hoping like hell no one is flirting with the idea of KDP with that very young man who plays JJ. If they want to toss her at Dirty Hairy, that is more than sufficient to make Jenn suffer, but not every thing is soapy goodness and THIS Eve with that high schooler w/b beyond ridiculous. I also don't believe that Eve should have a beef with Teresa. It will look foolish because of the dramatic age difference. If it appears that I am harping too much on KDP's age, I am. They need to tread lightly with Eve and remember, they've already done a 50 year old playing in the kiddie pool with Eileen! It's clear that no one likes Eve, so a good relationship with her sister would have been better than an adversarial one.
Members AlexElizabeth
Watching Thursday's episode right now. What's the history with Eve and Victor? I'm enjoying this episode - Victor firing Kate was fun as was Marlena vs. Nicole. I'm liking the scenes with Jennifer/JJ and lol at poor Harold shouting in the background during the food fight. Roman's on though... gross. I can actually buy Paige as Eve's daughter after seeing that old yearbook pic. Looking forward to seeing Kassie with people who aren't Shawn Christian. Members Bright Eyes
There is no history with Victor and Eve. It was just another excuse to make Victor misogynistic without reason.
Members Cheap21
You all know this Dannifer drama is temporary. I hope you all prepare yourselves. Who is up for a big splashy classic soap wedding for the couple for Days 50th anniversary? After all these years, trials and tribulations, Daniel and Jennifer tie the knot in the wedding of the century, which coincides with Days celebrating its half century. You think its going to be a few days? Wrong! More like a 4-5 month event. August: Countdown to the wedding of the century begins! With the help of their loved ones, Daniel proposes to Jennifer and she says yes. The engagement is shortlived as a series of misunderstandings causes them to breakup again. September: This month is all about reuniting the couple. Those close to them try to remind them of their love nad how they are perfect for each other. Beloved characters from the past such as Carly, Melanie and a ghostly Jack and CG Alice return to set them back on the right path October: Recently reunited, Dannifer are prepared to walk down the aisle and this month will feature the planning as they try to book a venue and have the day go off without a hitch. We'll also see bachelor and bachelorette parties, and tons of characters from the past will return in preparation of the big event November: The wedding is here! The 50th anniversary episode will actually feature a twist as it will chronicle the marriage of Dannifer from day one over the course of the next 50 years. Each commercial break will progress the couple 10 years into the future as we get insight into where they are at. This month will end with their two week honeymoon. December: The couple return and spend the holidays as a married couple with their new blended families for the first time 2016: Whats in store for them in the new year? Nothing, bc Days will have been officially cancelled by this point
Members Juliajms
I see Victor more as a misanthrope than a misogynist. Sure, he says a lot of nasty things about Nicole, Chloe and other women, but he's also pretty demeaning towards Brady. Maybe it's wrong, but it always cracks me up when Victor calls Brady an idiot because it's just so true. It kind of makes me sad the Kristen is about to blow Theresa out of the water. I'm having a pretty good time watching her dig her claws into Brady. Cheap- Your post has the ring of reality to it. I just do not understand why Jennifer gets so much more air time than Hope. I'd much rather see Hope and Aiden than Jen/Dan. I'd also rather see Hope's wedding be during the 50th. Bo can ride in to break them up, if that's how it has to be, although I'd much rather Hope sends him packing and choose Aiden (yes, I know that's unlikely). Members jo.frank88
I've never really watched much of jean's work... But from Everything I've heard about her she needs to stay far far away from DAYS!
Members YRBB
Yes. If we're going to have to sit through her WUV STOREE with Daniel, we should at least see her being miserable every now and then. I am not sure how I would feel if they put Eve with JJ. I guess it would depend on how it's written and what kind of chemistry the actors have. However, they could have plenty of rivalry between Jennifer and Eve without that. Their past and their kids' relationship is enough. I do hope they write her carefully and take the time to find the best place on canvas for her. Members YRBB
Thursday: Ignoring the fact that Sami's being all kinds of OTT, it's great fun watching her twist the knife on EJ and Abigail. Victor/Kate scenes and then a food fight with Kate & Sami. GREAT fun. It doesn't matter what the story is for those two -- you put them in a scene together and that's all that is needed. Daniel acts like such a little embarrassed boy when someone flirts with him. I mean, really dude? After all the punani you've been getting, you still do that faux shy crap? Ugh, die. KDP was natural and intriguing as Eve. Loved her taking a walk at the square, reacquainting herself with the town. I also thought the way they introduced the topic for JJ and Jennifer to talk about was classic soap and a good idea to get the audience more info on Eve. Although that flashback was RIDICULOUS. Absolutely, 100% bad. I will never understand why shows don't just show flashbacks with previous portrayals of the character. So what if it's a different actor? You can't make up for the value of a 20+ year old clip when it comes to stories like these (a reason why Y&R's use of history used to be so effective. For most of its veterans, they could go back DECADES and had a goldmine of clips to use and support current story). Wasn't expecting Nicole to refuse to help Eric. And what a great shock--Sami and Kate working together! YAAAA, hunnnnniiii.
Members Chris B
I stopped watching when my dear Lisa Rinna was written off, but I'm back for Kassie DePaiva and I'm happy I made that choice. I've watched Monday-Thursday of last week and it looks like the show is in good shape. There are a lot of characters I don't like (Nicole, Jordan, Daniel), but overall the storytelling is good enough for me to watch again. I think Kassie is coming off great and could be a big thing for DAYS. She's nothing like Blair, even her accent is being minimized I noticed. You can tell Kassie is having fun in the role and this is highlighting what a good actress she is. I will say it's going to be difficult making Jennifer and Daniel interesting, but she might be able to do it. Shawn Christian can no longer act and Melissa Reeves looks awful. I don't think she looks old like others, but the styling and color of her hair looks bad and her wardrobe needs a COMPLETE overhaul. Fix those things and she'd still look good IMO. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sami Brady so of course I can't get enough of her scheme with Kate. I saw it coming a mile away, but that is OKAY. The execution is perfection and the story is so juicy. I can't wait to see how this unfolds and how she ultimately exits the canvas.
