Laura Wright, Becky Herbst, Jason Thompson, and all the people who were on that show formerly known as General Hospital (1963-2012).

Frankly, I don't know whether I'd want any actors back on soaps. I mean, there are only four soaps left, and even those aren't exactly in the greatest shape (IMO). I could rattle off a bunch of names; however, if even one of 'em were to return, I'd be afraid he/she would be wasted by whichever show were to snap them up.

Agreed. I am not sure how more people would fit in the remaining 4 soaps. That said, I would love to see Vincent Irizarry, Marj Dusay, and Anna Stuart on soaps again.

I think this post is more about who you'd want back in a perfect soap world, and in a perfect soap world, I'd have Another World, Ryan's Hope and General Hospital (sans Craptini, of course). Victoria Wyndham would be ruling the soap world, Nancy Addison Altman would be alive and GH would be adventurous and not the cartoon it has become.

I never thought I'd see Josh Duhamel or Julianne Moore return to AMC and ATWT respectively, but they did. Very briefly but regardless!

Sherilyn Wolter was good on General Hospital but she was downright thrilling on Santa Barbara. A shame we never got to see her in the 1990's on the soaps [that brief blink-and-you-missed it run as George on Guiding Light doesn't count).

By the way, did anybody else, particularly in the mid-1980's, ever notice the resemblance between Wolter and Belinda Carlisle?

She was also Taylor on B&B in 1990

I loved Sherilyn Wolter as George, who took MK's Eleni hostage. It was tiny little role, but she was chilling.

I feel the same way you do. For example I see Jon Hensley's name being mention, he's already on BB being wasted.

This is how I feel about this topic as well. As much as I'd love to see my faves return - Peter Reckell, Jason Cook, Bethany Joy Lenz and John de Lancie and others, more than likely they would be wasted on the foolishness of what they are calling soap storylines today.
