Yeah, TWoP is defintely having a meltdown over MM being fired. I remember when they agreed with MM when he said portraying Adam was a cross between Don Draper and Walter White and he had the acting ability of the actors playing them (Jon Hamm and Bryan Cranston).

I didn't think he was untalented, but I thought his offscreen antics more than poisoned the role. Also, I always thought he was way too old for the character, or at least looked it.

I had been under the very, very vague impression that the previous Adam had been a young man with an angelic face and a tortured soul, caught between two walks of life with his mother and Victor. It just seems as though once MM took over it was all snark and evil deeds with a pouting face, all the time.

He's talented but he's more trouble than he's worth. Wasn't that the case at Veronica Mars, as well? I thought they fired him.

I doubt they'll change much in how the role is played or conceived - they'll go for a Muhney type because he was so popular. Trevor St. John is very much like him, but too old as well IMO.

The whole show is just terrible and/or dull IMO, and JFP is completely responsible for that now - she's there to drown the show in a bathtub, strip it down to basic parts and put it out of its misery. Y&R has turned into the dullest, poorest ABC soap she never made, and she made some bad ones. It's fascinating and a little sad to watch, or it would be if Maria Bell hadn't already run it into the ground. But it does amuse me, at least, to watch JFP fire all these annoying people that the Internet has overrated. Again and again it seems like soap twitter is shocked when their vanguards are not properly deified.

She can boast about this. Because it's very true. Every fan base thinks their fave controls the ratings. MM fans are no different. Waiting on The storytelling to get better and better so that the ratings will continue to rise. I have enjoyed this show more in the last couple months than I have since VR left. I even like lily now and found myself defend involved her. So...I am not mad at JFP yet.

    • Very sorry to hear of her passing. Aside from a few clips I've only ever "known" her through scripts and photos, but she along with the rest of the original cast helped make a show that changed daytime forever. We're still talking about one of her major stories on here to this very day.
    • That's a lovely photo. RIP.

    • I'll miss him too (still can't believe those were actual publicity photos - Joe Breen must have had a coronary), but he won't be gone forever.  Rauch did well at making people feel they were important (as long as they were willing to play along). That's probably why Erika Slezak loved him (he also gave her better story than he gave Zimmer). I think Kim has a certain amount of self-awareness but also needed to feel like she was the big star and desperately needed by the show. Wheeler was clearly incapable of expressing that.
    • Nicole has 2 assistants but no one else gets any staff (that we see). Are Dani and Hayley fixing meals and clearing blocked drains? I think they need to establish that they have some assistance. Vernon and Anita need to have a visible housekeeper. Give the Duprees some help!
    • . Her husband posted the following message: "The love of my life. The brightness in my life which is now so dimmer. In April I lost you and I miss you so much and I hope you are at peace. Lost Pam due to things beyond what was going on in her life. The original Peggy Brooks on The Young and the Restless and many more shows and commercials and then the creator of Chocolate Fortunes. So beautiful and a hell of a sense of humor. Great laugh, Great smile and Great compassion. You are my sidekick forever. Will miss you and all your sharp barbs. The angels are with you my beautiful angel. Fly safe and be happy. Much love and kisses forever."

    • I grew up in a neighborhood behind the gates and it really wasn't uncommon to have your house unlocked. In my neighborhood there was an armed gate before you enter the neighborhood and you have security patrolling 24/7. One thing that was common when I was in high school were for the kids whose parents were real estate agents to use their houses to throw house parties. It was easy because they were always unlocked.

    • I posted this a few weeks ago but it's worth popping up again as Grant does get asked about return rumors, that Paul Rauch had tried to get the show revived for years but P&G just would not sell it.

    • If those two crazy (and I do mean crazy!) kids can't make it, where's the hope for the rest of us?!

    •   Sonia was on the director rotation at DAYS. On BTG, Sonia had been credited as a producer.  May 23 was her first episode directing BTG.
