LOVE the contrast between the nightlife at Shelter and the older folks in their fancy, elegant mansions. That's one of the concepts I loved about RC's early OLTL, and I'm glad it's here in full force.

Please do not give that unimaginative hack any credit for the awesomeness that is the current OLTL. He did everything he could to gut the show, and tries to tell GH viewers everyday that they possess the heart and soul of this show. Please do not drink the kool aid that this hack, bereft of one ounce of talent, impacted this miracle.

Watching again and Tea's disconnect during the baby room scene was heartbreaking. We NEVER get quiet moments like that on Soaps anymore.

Loved all the night time location shots.

I really liked Todd's intro..

The opening is growing on me outside of the kids dance circle and Jack's stupid shirt.

I don't drink Kool-Aid, I drink Crystal Light. I didn't say that it was RC's work, just that it was present during the early part of his tenure (2007-2008). I did enjoy that year or so, so my comment still stands.

I'm complimenting OLTL and comparing it favorably to AMC. Drink it while it's still cold, please.

I love that the dialogue feels a lot less Soapy and much more natural. Nu-Matthew is pretty good, the older EA comparison is spot on.

I'm so ready for tomorrow's episode ugh.

When?

The music at Shelter was too loud and the strobe lighting? was overdone. But IA with whomever said that many extras put recent GH parties to shame. Definitely felt more modern, hipper and feel of a PRIMETIME soap.

The club scenes were better than any I've seen on soaps--it also helps having music that I could actually imagine in a real club. But that was my one technical complaint--at least on the FXCanada airing, some of the dialogue in the club was hard to hear (but this has been an issue on soaps with loud music before.)

So I finally watched, wasn't sure I was going to, so glad I did, OMG the real Todd is here!!

How are the commercials incorporated? I can't see there being all that much room, maybe they dropped some scenes?

Two commercial breaks (or three?) VERY brief--they were about a minute long each, pretty sure nothing was cut. FXCanada being basic cable doesn't have to show as many commercials (although they usually do seem to have more per episode--so I guess are making an exception here, which is good as I was worried they might edit them.)

I know this is better suited for the OLTL Production thread but has anyone heard about Pamela Payton Wright? Any hope Addie pops up? Seeing her just now in that GIF makes me want to see her again down the road.
