RUMOR REPORT: YR Fires Vet!!!

I really don't understand why anyone thinks she wouldn't work well at DAYS right now, that show is desperate for a shot in the arm!

It is, but I see re-introducing OTT characters like Susan and Kristen a quick fix, at best. DAYS's canvas needs more substantial mending, if that makes sense. It needs new characters, new families that are spun off from what's there now.

Genie Francis should've been gone awhile ago.

On most other soaps, Patty would have killed her.

Contract newbies like Ricky, Daisy & Kyle are 1000.00 an episode. They cost nothing. Id get rid of Genie, Stephen & Debbi. They cost dough

Daisy costs ratings, which is more than money in the long run. Viewers loathe her and she has been at the center of huge ratings losses.

Eileen Davidson's return has had some successes, but her stint at B&B was much better. Brad Bell knew how to write her and she fit in so well with Stephanie, Ridge, Brooke, Thorne, etc. I think it would've been smarter for B&B to have kept her, than it was for Y&R to bring her back. She's struggled with chemistry with leading men, although I do like Neil/Ashley.

I do think it's kinda surprising they'd fire her since Abby is there and the Abbott's are so limited right now. I wonder if MAB will recast out of spite.

So has GF! Many viewers can't stand her character being shoved down their throats and ratings have actually been up during weeks where she was barely featured!

She should've been gone long ago but they keep giving her stuff that should be Jill, Ashley, and hell even Nikki's story.

It really won't be long before Gen becomes Paul's new gf.

I do agree. I liked her stint on B&B more than I have her recent run on Y&R.

No one can say they havent put effort into this character because the put more into trying to fit her on canvas than any other newbies. They've damn near connected her to half the canvas and she still doesn't work. They retooled the character like 3 times.

I disagree, I missed Ashley when she was fired by LML. Then again, I was enjoying her hatred of Gloria and was looking forward to that feud over the Abbott money when she got fired. But I've always liked Ashley and Eileen Davidson's portrayal so...

sad.png Legitimately sad.

It is very sad, but Ashley has been pointless/unwritten for on the show ever since the haunting/Adam crossressing-story was over. Same goes for Jess...:(

I do agree. I liked her stint on B&B more than I have her recent run on Y&R.
