This is why Days isn't going to make it. They try to retool the show about every 6 months or so it seems. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me.

Yep, this is why I can't even when people say Jack/MA held back Jenn/MR cause she isn't the one who's been fired like 10 billion times, he's always sacrificed for her, Jack's constantly thrown under the bus for Jennifer

Ugh, everytime I get back in to DAYS they fire the main people keeping me interested. Christie has turned all the sh!t they've gave her into gold, and you can't buy the history and chemistry her, Dee Hall, and Ali Sweeney have brought to their scenes.

I think that the Jack pairing has stifled opportunities for the character of Jen to grow.

It is pretty tacky, but Louise Sorel was told in person (by Gary Tomlin) and she also felt that was unprofessional, IIRC. I guess the real problem is Corday doesn't seem to want to do this himself.

Personally, at this rate, I'd prefer they just stop trying to "fix" the modern DAYS, and start rebroadcasting the show's golden years, penned by William J. Bell and Pat Falken Smith. I'd watch 1966-1976 religiously!

That's exactly the problem. Louise Sorel wanted to be fired by The Boss, ultimately, anyone except Corday is an employee. He hasn't got the guts.

Yes, the Phase 2 Firings will be the interesting ones. I think James Reynolds and Peggy McKay are obvious cuts, either off the show completely or recurring, Josh Taylor recurring (won't happen since he's a FOC), Camila Banus fired, Kate Mansi fired, Shawn Christian fired, Drake Hogestyn fired.
