And as a young gay male in a small town when I first saw the video (when VH1 was playing all of her videos when Lourdes was born) it just resonated...and became my favorite song by her.

Madonna is presenting Video of the Year at the VMAs tonight.

Fitting that she was once the queen of this award show, and once put the 'M' in MTV when it used to matter.

The video will premiere as part of a global special on MTV next Wednesday. Kind of reminds me of the golden days of MTV, when Madonna was the undisputed queen of the network.

As do I. I can understand the character being picked on (same for Vanessa as well) this year because they have both been horrible and well...poorly written. Definitely deserving of a comeuppance that isn't coming soon enough.

The first year, both characters had the best paced of the B stories...heck one of the best stories last year. It felt organic and then the plotlines converged. That was back when there was gray to Vanessa's character which made it more engrossing. So engrossing was Doug/Vanessa/Joey, I didn't notice the optics until it was pointed out. It has been great food for thought beyond people hating Joey simply due to the mob aesthetic or how JL played him.

Damn, they steamrolled Caroline's illness. It's almost as if William J. Bell were hoping and praying plans to recast worked out or that Joanna Johnson would change her mind. Damn... what a riveting storyline. I have never seen it play out, and wow... almost to the end of Caroline's life, and I want to just cry.

Yeah! There's a scene after the slap where Bill and Katie are talking and Katie has a...hmmm wittiness?...about her that I can't say I see Victoria doing though HT's Victoria definitely had wit which was a nice little tell for me in how Heather Tom played both. It's why I wrote that. I love that. I totally agree that HT's Victoria would have left Brooke a puddle on the floor AND would have slapped her right back. Katie was just standing up for herself.

I agree about that for Heather Tom. If Brad plays his cards right Brooke vs Katie could go on for a long while.
