February 2, 201214 yr Member Sami was defined by that for years? When? Sami was defined by being her own worst enemy, doing whatever it took to get whatever she wanted, being a bad bitch. After that she was defined by being a weepy wannabe heroine ruined by awful writing. Never was she define by screeching at Marlena. Perhapas it was part of her, but it never defined her. Will... i get. I totally get it. I never went through it personally but ive seen friends of mine and other people go through it, and usually they build this thing up in their head that the reaction will be this awful thing and they believe it and live in fear of it, then when they come out nothing. But will has reason to worry. lets be real here, Lucas is an alkie who is like aching for a reason to reach into the bottle again. He shouldnt be ok with it. he should claim to be but not. And Sami? We all know that this is going to be all about her and what she did wrong. She isnt going to mind that he likes boys, shes going to mind that she was a bad mother and thats why this happened. Id love it if days would actually go there and have people be not ok with it, but they wont. And Rafe should also flip out at will for using his sister and leading her on. Anyways, my point is Will hates that he is gay, not because he likes guys and is gay, but because now he has to listen and deal with his awful, selfish parents. And i dont think his bad attitude is only because hes gay and uneasy about it, its about a lot. the issue the show plays the beats here and there then doesnt, this story is all over the place with little to no real direction and motivation - same issue with every single story on the show. Yes!
February 3, 201214 yr Member Chandler Massey if you are reading this quit getting advice from Drake H. Your eyebrow lifting today was pure Drake.....
February 3, 201214 yr Member Chandler Massey if you are reading this quit getting advice from Drake H. Your eyebrow lifting today was pure Drake..... That cracks me up as the scenes where he first confronted EJ were Drake-ish too. I think it's just "soap opera acting" which people fall back on when they have very limited time to work.
February 3, 201214 yr Member When I watched the preview clip for today's (later today I mean) episode I saw the Hogestyn-Massey thing again. Did they ever work together before DAYS? I never thought Hogestyn was as bad as he was made out to be, so it kind of cracks me up that the next great hope of DAYS uses the exact same tics.
February 3, 201214 yr Member With all the crying Will does, DAYS should try and line up Visine as a product sponsor of this show. I can see it now, Have red eyes cause of all that crying you're doing cause your moma's a whore or cause you simply can't deal with being gay? Try Visine, may not solve you're life issues, but will clear up those red eyes!

He looks like he's strung out on something. Maybe he saw his mom boinking EJ... AND he's gay... AND he's on D-R-U-G-S!!! Triple whammy! Edited February 3, 201214 yr by Gray Bunny
February 4, 201214 yr Member I really wish she would have slapped Will after the whore comment, it would have been the perfect opportunity.
February 4, 201214 yr Author Member Will SO OVER HIS ASS. I was DONE when he SHOVED his own Mother. What a disappointment those scenes were, way to much crying & snot coming from Will's end IMO. AS was great. Sami walking in on Carrie & Rafe kissing - wow she really has had a terrible week! That confrontation next week should be good. LMAO. That debate was hilarious.
February 4, 201214 yr Member Will: "Mom, you are a whore.... I hate you and want you to stay out of my life" His reaction to Sami is SOOOOOO OTT. I dont get it as she didnt do anything to him directly so for him to be so vehemently against her just doesnt connect with me Will SO OVER HIS ASS. I was DONE when he SHOVED his own Mother. February 4, 201214 yr Member I saw some comments saying his tears and her not crying just shows what a bad actress she is in comparison. I don't think she's a great actress (she has her moments) but I don't agree with the idea that tears mean talent. It's tough to see a character when I see Will because this seems like such melodrama which has been rushed, and Massey's acting is overdone. If I watched that scene for the first time I wouldn't think, "Wow, Massey is great and Sweeney sucks." I would think this was a parody of soaps. Massey does all the cliches - overwrought line delivery, heavy breathing, weeping. It's a performance, but where is the character?? It did get better as the scenes went along but some of his work was rough as hell. I wonder if you really need to hate Sami to get into these scenes. I don't have enough history with the show to really hate Sami or think this is about her punishment. And again the story undercuts Will's meltdown because Rafe has already been away from Sami before he ever knew about her sex with EJ. It's like two different sets of writers do these stories.
February 4, 201214 yr Member Sami is one of the biggest criers out there. If Ali wanted to have her cry there, she would and could. I think Sami was just truly shocked and taken a back by the stuff Will was saying. I dont think she knew how to react and I thought Ali handled those scenes appropriately. I didnt have an issue with her.
February 4, 201214 yr Member I thought it was one of the best shows in a while. The acting was fine. I'm interested in what will happen on Monday. I chuckled when Will called his mom a whore Edited February 4, 201214 yr by Soapsuds
February 4, 201214 yr Member Whenever there is a scene calling for Sami to cry, I find it cringe inducing. Along with whenever Sami is upset and has to yell and Ali's voice gets all strained and annoying.
