The One Christmas Episode I have a Number for is Episode 13,812,which aired 12/24/2001.

Ross tells The Springfield Christmas Story. Poor Reva gets Stuck in the Towers Elevator

with Her Enemies Edmund & Olivia etc

The Christmas Episodes For 1981 & 1982, Features Christmas in Bert Bauer's Living room.

1981= Mike Sings. 1982= Bert,Mike & ED gather around Piano while Sara Mcintyre Plays.

Bert looks at the camera & say Merry Christmas.

I don't remember 1979 or 1980 Christmas Episodes but would Love to see those Again. In the 80's

HB Lewis read the X-mas story.

I would love to go back in time to my childhood with a DVD Recorder or VCR...

Hopefully whatever Mike sings is in the public domain. ;)

I saw the last episodes of EON and SFT last week. Only ATWT and (most of) GL are at SoapClassics so that's the first time I had seen any tapes not related to those two shows. There's no physical room for the others in the office at this point.

Oh Roger I wanted to say how happy I was you finally got to include Rita/Lenore Karsdorf like you wanted too for so long.

I am happy to see that the older episodes are more preferred. I am liking the mix of old and new, especially being able to see how the show changed and one character in the early years and then 20 or 30 years later.

I am hoping you happen to come across some more with Sara, like the gas light story, or the one with Charlotte Waring and later on, Dean Blackford.

Okay even though I'm still waiting on Phillip/Lilden DVDs (ordered the day each was released), I'm going to take the risk and order this new DVD! Fingers crossed this one makes it (and that I get a response about the other two).

i would love that. Logistics, time, resources are the main things holding it back from being possible right now. Start making lists of episodes and any where you have the exact episode number might make it feasible sooner. When they launched the first DVD last fall, they were looking at ATWT then GL for 2011/12 DVDs then streaming. I'll follow up to see what the long range timetable might be for the other shows.

This is magnificient news, ~bl~. Thank you for sharing the link with us!

Weeks ago, I had given up searching for this alleged release. Now that it is here, I am thrilled. The set includes 5 discs, and it appears that all of the episodes are from 1979, during the final months of the Dobsons. I see that Lenore Kasdorf (Rita Bauer) and Rita Lloyd (Lucille Wexler) are included as the main stars. I suspect these episodes will begin in August or September 1979 with events leading to the onscreen death of Brandon Spaulding and revelation (to the audience) that Amanda Wexler is the illegitimate daughter of Alan Spaulding. If episodes are consecutive rather than random, we will see Alan and Hope make love, Rita attempt to resist the sexual advances of her former fiance Greg Fairbanks, the wedding of Elizabeth and Justin Marler, Holly's prison stabbing by top dog Gail, and a mysterious patient in a remote French clinic who has visions of Holly shooting Roger Thorpe.

This is the Guiding Light I know and love. I cannot wait.

Perhaps with an Another World release, you might include a bonus episode of its spinoffs Somerset and Lovers and Friends. Several episodes of Somerset have been saved, and I know the Procter and Gamble archives in Cincinnati has one episode of Lovers and Friends in its collection. Since so few episodes remain. not enough for a dedicated release of each title, maybe they can be included as bonuses.

    • That was so surprising to me today. I didn’t see any spoilers that this was coming up so I loved it!
    • Well, VI was leaving, and while Long admits that killing him was stupid...I do agree with letting him go with a big bang...body missing.  They spent a lot of time and money on Infinity, (which I think might have gotten a bit of a better reputation had it not been the harbinger of a total tonal change with the Bauers and Reardon's decimated and its all Reva and the Lewis and the weird people hanging out around Kyle) so they needed it to end dramatically. They could have done so much more with having Alex go after Kyle and Billy, but that ends and she starts moping over weird and boring Simon. With Kurt..what were you going to do.. cute but boring and perfect and with ties to no one (they had a nice little thing where Bea took him under her wing when everyone left but then she did too..) If they had the balls they would have had Rick and Mindy jump in the sack ( I know, Mindy should have learned birth control by then) I would have had it be Mindy who knows about Rick's drug use and she tries to help him...(not that nobody who came and went) of course, Kurt and Roxie misunderstand..that on top of her bad Sampson Girl thing leaves him to leave her temporarily, and in grand soap tradition, Rick and Mindy console each other (again, I would write it that they always really did, and Mindy rushed into things with Kurt) and she gets knocked up, and loving Rick but also Kurt she chooses to believe it is Kurts (which I could see Princess Mindy doing "My life is perfect and I will it that way, this is Kurts kid")But, she had the dumb model thing, then she burned down the house he was building, she tried to get prefers and he dies (but also Kobe was the one who built him up, then she was gone when he was let go.) Ross believe it or not is one of the last of the "old guard" characters, beside Ed (who is now FauxEd) and Maureen, and Henry and Van (who is ties to being the Lewis family mope.) JVD has made jokes that they didn't write him out as they simply forgot that he was there!
    • Excellent! The OLTL-GH promo places this and the RH episode (which I assume aired directly before this AMC) as airing during the week of Aug. 20.
    • Thanks! There's never enough early 1980s AMC around.    The only actor I don't recognize is the actress playing Wanda, Mike's agent.
    • lol he sounds like he's speaking as Randy
    • Dani going to Bill's house is karma for how he messes with Martin. It is totally separate, but I can't feel sorry for Bill when he's constantly antagonizing a family he says he wants nothing to do with.
    • I understand what Lois did. I can see everyone's side, even if I don't agree with them.  That  proves it's a good story    Lois is far from ruined
    • Oh wow. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
