July 8, 201114 yr Member I can't wait to see if Days bounces back this week. I thought last week episodes was better than the week before. I hope OLTL continue to show growth. Yes, I'm bias..
July 8, 201114 yr Member I can't wait to see if Days bounces back this week. I thought last week episodes was better than the week before. I hope OLTL continue to show growth. Yes, I'm bias.. Last year, NBC didn't count any of the episodes of DAYS that aired. They coded all of them as specials. This means there's a good chance we'll only get ratings from the other five soaps for last week.
July 8, 201114 yr Author Administrator OLTL does it again! Where are these OLTL fans coming from? LOL Monday: 148,000 more than AMC, 171,000 more than GH Tuesday: 395,000 more than AMC, 235,000 more than GH Wednesday: 264,000 more than AMC, 115,000 more than GH Thursday: 264,000 more than AMC, 332,000 more than GH Friday: 186,000 more than AMC, 373,000 more than GH
July 8, 201114 yr Member The really low Friday numbers aren't surprising since it was 4th of July weekend. OLTL is the only soap up from last year. Edited July 8, 201114 yr by OLTL_fan

OLTL lost 291,000+ viewers this week... so really, "where did they all go" is the better question. All soaps though, sadly, took a big hit this week. Edited July 8, 201114 yr by alwaysAMC
July 8, 201114 yr Member They should send GH online and Keep OLTL as a strong lead in for its new shows
July 8, 201114 yr Member OUCH!! AMC a 1.6?? GL numbers. A 1.5 for GH on Friday. Y&R a 2.9 on Friday. Good job for B&B and keeping a 2.1 rating for the week.

OLTL lost 291,000+ viewers this week... so really, "where did they all go" is the better question. You rarely see such a big discrepancy like this for OLTL that's why I'm at awe of these numbers. And this isn't a one week thing too.
July 8, 201114 yr Member I guess no one is watching double Lucci. The show is sinking faster than the Titanic! They better get it online quick before no one is watching.
July 8, 201114 yr Member I wouldn't necessarily ask "where are these fans coming from" in terms of "they did it again"... OLTL lost 291,000+ viewers this week... so really, "where did they all go" is the better question. All soaps though, sadly, took a big hit this week. In my area (Midwest), OLTL is on opposite DAYS. I don't know how many markets air both shows in the same time slot. That could be why OLTL picked up viewers while actually losing 291,000? I would've expected OLTL to gain viewers with only tennis and Mrs. Moonves as its competition. But I wonder how much of the overall soap audience migrated to the Casey Anthony trial on HLN and TRTV the past few weeks? I've been hearing that the ratings are way up for those channels during the daytime and primetime dayparts. Do you have any ideas about that, Toups? Thanks as always for the ratings.
July 8, 201114 yr Member It is good to look at these horrible ratings and not really give a damn. AMC/OLTL have been saved, GH will probably head online next year and the other soaps have multi-year renewals. Glad OLTL remains ABC's top soap for the 11th straight week.
July 8, 201114 yr Member Damn LB's first week was baaaaaddddd ratings wise I don't think anybody expected ratings to jump just because the HW changed. Offliners have no way of knowing who's writing the show.
