Jess is a team player (for the most part) & the show doesn't care about Jill so there's a fairly huge difference. The show & Sony could fire MTS but they know they need her as a prop (an expensive prop but a prop still) so they keep her around.

Nelson really is an ass.one moment he loves MTS then he hates her. the whole thing is about agendas.

The whole show is a mess you can't tell your cast that you can't afford them and that their salarys will be cut.and then go out and hire every reject from ABC and star out there and blow a load of money on promo's for them.

Queen hack MAB refused a cut in her salary when her contract was up.and she gets $30,000 a week for writing complete crap and badly ripping of old Bill Bell scripts.

I don't believe for a second MTS makes twice as much as Braeden...And honestly it doesn't bother me that she doesn't want to budge. As others have said the show spends all this money bringing on unnecessary stunt castings while not doing anything with the people they have.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not even a HUGE MTS fan and I'm still on her side. I mean, I love Nikki and all, since I've been watching her for 20 years, but I'm not one of her biggest supporters. Still, she has been with this show for over 30 years. That should mean something. I don't know what her salary is, but there are people in prime time making hundereds of thousands per episode, so if she really is making $10,000, after 30 years, that is not so outragous. Not when you consider that she has managers, agents and lawyers to pay.

MTS confirmed yesterday on twitter that she is actually on recurring she isn't on contract.

Looks like even through she is listed on the credits as a contract player she isn't.

After all the crap NB wrote he actually asked MTS for a interview.he really is a idiot

I'm not surprised. When MTS insisted that she didn't take a pay cut, I thought that something must have been done to reduce her appearances. Too bad. Maybe they will bring her back as Nikki eventually. Victor does not have much to do without her.

So when her last contract issue was supposedly resolved she's been working all this time without a contract? This puts new meaning to the term "glorified day player"

I'm confused as well. She has been on recurring status all this time and yet is one of the top ranked actors in the episode counts for the year? Interesting.

She can't be on recurring, because contractually and because of union agreements, she would HAVE to be credited as a recurring player if she were one. Since she was never a recurring player per the show's credits, this is all bull.

She makes more than him per episode but because Eric has a bigger guarantee and works more, he makes more. In essence she did take a pay cut by agreeing to a lower guarantee but not cutting her per episode salary. IMO, if everyone is taking a cut, your leading lady should take on as well. We're not in the high times for soaps anymore, time to lighten the load if we want these shows to go on.

I don't get half of her tweets. She appears to be skirting around the truth. I doubt she really meant she is not on contract since it was announced last year that she'd signed a new one. Some of her earlier tweets confirm this.

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada for her to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

    • Frat Boy Jr.'s reaction to seeing Luna was just awful acting. It was so bad that I started laughing.

Does anyone have screenshots of it?
    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
