I agree about the young guy with glasses (Kevin Covais). I was stunned he made it through. The rest are okay. Patrick's a little too full of himself. I Chris and Ace stand out the most to me. David Radford is a better looking S3-John. Bobby Bennett could provide some comic relief. He might make it through to top 12. Bucky has a decent voice, but meh. Taylor appears to be popular, actually. Shockingly enough. Not sure why. I hope's out first but with my luck he's around to the near end.

Most of the girls blend together, too. I like Mandisa, Katharine, Paris, Ayla, Stephanie/Stevie and Becky. The rest, eh.... I can't tell the rest of them apart yet.

Im upset the twins got taken out of the competition. I so wanted them to get cut. If not, by the judges, I wanted them to get cut when the public makes the first vote. Now they probably still think their the [!@#$%^&*], bc they never got a chance to be the American Idol. With their egos they probably still think American would have loved and voted for them

Remind me again, who's Ace? I did like that Elliot guy and glad he went through.

 You go KR!!

Yeah same here. I wanted them cut but I knew all along they weren't going to be since I knew they got arrested thanks to the media beforehand. They were in no way making the top 24 because the judges did not like them and merely let the brother that quit stay because they didn't want to listen to him bitch and whine. Both of them would have been cut anyway but them arrested had me LMAO. I hated them both so much  .

Has anyone noticed how whenever Paula is in a room with Ace she needs to fan herself after he leaves? That girl has got it bad for him-I hope she resists temptation we don't need her scandals coming to the forefront again.

Ace

Chris and Bucky seem to be the Bo and Constantine of this year.

Taylor Hicks - I have to like him, His favorite female artist is Cyndi Lauper LOL

If I had to choose between Mandisa, Paris, Katherine, and Kellie as the final four, I couldn't even vote.

Yeah I think Ace is pretty good... I think the show does have a good male lineup this time around. Regarding the young boy with the glasses... just look at Anthony Federoff.... I think he can make it very far.

One thing I dislike is all the comments about the ages of the young contestants. If they don't think 16 year olds will handle it, don't make them eligible.

I don't think Paris Benett will make it far. Almost like a Nadia Turner kind of way. I don't think she can handle the competition either.

Brenna Gather is such a !@#$%^&*]! But she will be fun to watch. Gedeon Mckinney seems like Nick round 2 though he is more aggressive but still cocky.

Katharine McPhee is a favorite as is Ayla (the governor's daughter). But it would be nice to see a male win.

I think Chris has an edge over Bo and Constantine, he's more mainstream and I also think he has a good chance of winning too.

Unfortunately I have a lot to say about American Idol...lol. I am not really crazy about Ace. He kinda looks girly and sounds defiantly like a girl, lol. He'll get far though, I hear a lot about him. Alya Brown is okay, but it bothers me her mother is a TV host and her father is a senator. I never thought Becky was anything special, maybe she improved ever since her first audition. Bobby had me laughing on Wednesday's episode (This isn't for fat people! You gotta be skinny to go through this!) Brenna is the most annoying thing since Mikalah Gordon and hope she's the first one eliminated on Thursday. I think Chris is one of the best singers on there, and has a lot of stage presence that will take him far. He reminds me of Bo last year, not look or sound wise, but how he commands to the stage and isn't nervous, like a lot of constants. I think Kellie Pickler is just so sweet, and hope she does well. David is pretty hot, and I don't necessarily care much for his singing, but I'd like for him to stay pretty long on Idol, lol. Doesn't Sway already have a recording contract? I LOVE Mandisa. She's got a GREAT voice, I hope she goes far. I loved how she stood up to Simon and put him in her spot! You go girl. ("It's sorta like we're dating." "You're not my type") lol, love it! I love Kevin's voice, but I think his age will play a factor in how far he goes. Patrick's has an awesome voice; he's pretty hot too. Stevie Scott! What a voice! Taylor Hicks is just fantastic, and I love Kevin Arnold/Will Makar.

I had already picked out the most overrated one's this year: Katharine, Lisa, and Paris! Sure, they’re talented, but you know the constants that just so much love from everybody, and get pimped from the judges? Yeah.

And thank god those Derrell/Terrell twins are LOCKED up. Gosh, STFU. I would've never gave them a second chance. I'd be like, go home and watch it.

    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
    • Did Jordan Clarke have a departure sometime between 1985 and 1989? I know Robert Newman had three runs: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end.
    • Well, they usually weren't on the show at the time for long until the late 90's. But yeah, they really deserved a story centered on them, and not through the lens of Reva.
    • Chelsea was doing the absolute most today! Why was she introducing her sister to a woman she doesnt know? That whole scene was embarrassing. Madison needs to stay away from her bc she is too immature
    • Gosh, what a waste with Lunacy. Why have her live with $B, reveal Finn, pardon her, etc What makes this story incredibly hollow is that what Luna is asking isn't unreasonable - to spend time with her cousin father. She's not asking to move in with them. How hard with it be for Finn to throw her a bone by, say, I'll meet you for lunch/coffee once at week at the hospital cafeteria. Lunacy isn't going to hurt Finn. In fact, all her crimes were related to finding her father and it turns out to be someone she's loved her entire life. Instead of course-correcting the nonsense of last summer, Brad somehow found a way to make this worse! That's a skill... Of all the younger actors B&B has cast during the past 5 years, LY has shown the most growth and range. Why get rid of her?
    • On the subject of sets (seems more interesting to discuss than the actual show)  Some sets we don't see anymore Lauren/Michael apartment (haven't seen that in years) Victoria's house (are Marian/Tessa living there?) Apartment above Crimson Lights (I think Chelsea was the last resident) Penthouse (Lily's home) Chancellor Estate (Devon/Abby) Chancellor office (once Dark Horse) Nick's house GCAC room (used as residence/hotel room for several characters) Some of these may pop up again. The tack house, for example, was not seen for many months before being used again. Have I missed anything?
    • Thanks for searching through everything. Worked on them so long, just too lazy to check for those links myself, so I am glad you chose to do it! I guess I never did type out anything for 1973-1977 in regards to the preemptions, but they are on the charts at least (and this far back, they don't seem to do any of those "breakouts" anymore, so things are simpler in the 1970's, so eventually I could type those out).
    • I dump on the Y&R sets problem all the time, but BOLD is no better -- and they're not even introducing new sets. All of their sets are years old, and very few look like they're inhabited by people with money. Is that going to change with this move? I'd rather they save the money spent on another remote, which is no better than an HGTV travelogue, and get some new/better sets.
    • The donut posts here make up for a Friday show that was barely meh. Aside from seeing Anna, I really didn't care much about anything else. While I understand the thought behind breaking up all the sadness with "other scenes," I'd rather they moved right to John's funeral. Instead of hearing a stupid story about John changing some minor character's tire 20 years ago, just move on to the crying. I also thought the Chad and Cat scenes were a waste. I realize not everyone is devastated by John's death to the point of not functioning, but going sky diving is a choice. By the way, Jack and Jennifer are giving me nothing on this return. Please leave asap. DAYS did such a great job with John's death, so ending the week this way was a letdown.
    • Add Dr. Montgomery to list of fine women on this show! I hope the show goes forward with Madison/Chelsea and then once they're developed, bring back Allison, who is now divorced or a widow, for a Madison/Chelsea/Allison triangle.  It would definitely be the hottest triangle in daytime.
