April 21, 201115 yr Member If nothing else, the steam has been taken out of the AMC versus OLTL cancellation war on the ratings thread. Oh Ann, I suspect you are very, very wrong.
April 21, 201115 yr Member Oh Ann, I suspect you are very, very wrong. LOL! Wouldn't be the first time, but come on... what is there left to argue, bicker, and rant on about now that they both have been canceled?
April 21, 201115 yr Member LOL! Wouldn't be the first time, but come on... what is there left to argue, bicker, and rant on about now that they both have been canceled? Whether one deserved to be cancelled and the other didn't. (Damn, I shouldn't have written that. Don't want to give them any ideas)
April 21, 201115 yr Member Whether one deserved to be cancelled and the other didn't. (Damn, I shouldn't have written that. Don't want to give them any ideas) Yep. As a Trekker, I'm reminded of the episode titled "Let That be Your Last Battlefield" where two warring aliens from the same planet chased each other across the universe only to end up back on their destroyed home planet where they proceeded to fight each other forever. Even though their people and culture had been annihilated, they chased each other through the ruins.
April 21, 201115 yr Member Whether one deserved to be cancelled and the other didn't. (Damn, I shouldn't have written that. Don't want to give them any ideas) LOL! I stand corrected. Yep. One of my favorite Star Trek episodes. I always remember the scene where Kirk and Spock look on perplexed as one of the aliens stated that he was black on the right side and the other was white on the other side. Rodenberry was a genius and innovative storyteller. You are right that this inanity fits here. Edited April 21, 201115 yr by Ann_SS
April 21, 201115 yr Member I wonder if ABC will put out a press release-- and if so, whether they'll mention AMC or OLTL at all, or just rationalize the cancellations by pointing out for us how many viewers the shows have lost vs 1 year ago or some other criteria
April 21, 201115 yr Member I expect OLTL to drop. I don't see ABC putting out any kind of press release unless it is an unusually high week.

April 21, 201115 yr Member I wonder if ABC would prefer AMC/OLTL go down, so that any bad performance from The The is passed off as being fantastic compared to their predecessors.
April 21, 201115 yr Member I can only say what I dislike about Days that makes me want to stop watching. I dislike Rafe 1, Rafe 2, and anything Safe related.
April 21, 201115 yr Member WOW what is going on AT B&B? They need to be worried. And Days has really fell off a cliff. I hope this will mean a new HW soon
April 21, 201115 yr Member B&B's drop don't surprise me. Reading comments on other boards, people haven't been happy for while. A lot of people don't like Thomas turning into Ridge 2.0, don't want to see Thomas lust after his step-mommy. And then you have Oliver/Hope/Liam/Amber which many are tired of seeing on their screen nearly everyday especially in a story that's been done a million times before. There's just nothing new or exciting to tune into B&B for (although, personally, I'm liking the Steffy/Bill/katie triangle)
