Yep. As a Trekker, I'm reminded of the episode titled "Let That be Your Last Battlefield" where two warring aliens from the same planet chased each other across the universe only to end up back on their destroyed home planet where they proceeded to fight each other forever. Even though their people and culture had been annihilated, they chased each other through the ruins.

LOL! I stand corrected.

One of my favorite Star Trek episodes. I always remember the scene where Kirk and Spock look on perplexed as one of the aliens stated that he was black on the right side and the other was white on the other side. Rodenberry was a genius and innovative storyteller. You are right that this inanity fits here.

I wonder if ABC will put out a press release-- and if so, whether they'll mention AMC or OLTL at all, or just rationalize the cancellations by pointing out for us how many viewers the shows have lost vs 1 year ago or some other criteria

B&B's drop don't surprise me. Reading comments on other boards, people haven't been happy for while. A lot of people don't like Thomas turning into Ridge 2.0, don't want to see Thomas lust after his step-mommy. And then you have Oliver/Hope/Liam/Amber which many are tired of seeing on their screen nearly everyday especially in a story that's been done a million times before. There's just nothing new or exciting to tune into B&B for (although, personally, I'm liking the Steffy/Bill/katie triangle)
