Members Khan
To think: they're spending this time protesting when they could be back home watching these shows. I'm just saying.
Members DRW50
That's what the DVR is for
Members Khan
Yeah, but aren't the proliferation of DVR's one of the reasons why soaps are on the decline? Again, just saying, lol.
Members DRW50
I guess they should have told any Nielsen families to stay home.
Members You're Soaking in it
In Los Angeles, at least as it stands today, KTLA News is at least two steps up from Fox 11 News.

Members trish672
To think they could be at home watching Tess and Niki and their DID shenanigans with some Fords thrown in. These shows are worthy of protests because....
Members Kylie
LOL, I know. It's almost not worth it to even by on the news if you're stuck with KTLA. Haha.

Members Jonathan
This looks sad. It's hard to stage a protest in Los Angeles. Los Angelenos have the most fickle fans. Just ask the Lakers.
Members AllMyDaysatGH
This is just downright ridiculous....doesn't even look like that many people came. And, you could basically hear a cricket in the background. This will have no impact... lol @ someones sign saying "The mouse is messing with my stories"
Members Chris B
If it's true that Katie Couric is going to ABC, I wonder what that means for soaps. After the lukewarm response to The Chew and Revolution, is it possible one of those could be pulled in favor of a Couric talker? Or maybe both of those shows could run in the same talk show. By January they should know if The Chew will survive or not. Or will her show be syndicated by ABC? I doubt GH is in danger only because of the backlash they've already gotten. Still, not good if they wanted to consider keeping OLTL in the end.
Members DRW50
I think GH is going no matter what, but I don't believe they would take her show on, if they can find something cheaper.
Members JaneAusten
GH is gone based on reports from both Logan and Nikki Finnke sometime in 2012. As for Katie Couric she can make a ton more money in sydication unless she wants the security of network backing. I plead ignorance as to what it takes to get shows into syndication. I like KAtie Couric but I don't think she's worth all the attention shes getting. But I can see ABC thinking landing her would be a big coupe. But if the NBC offer is distribution of a syndicated show I could see her going with them. Plus she knows them.
