I'm honestly surprised that she's still on the air. She honestly seems to have an axe to grind with a great many people.

Page Six is reporting that Wendy was placed on a psychiatric hold at Beth Isreal Hospital. She is going through it.

The only other place I've read about this is TMZ. None of the mainstream, non-tabloid sites seemed to have picked up the story.

Yes, you're exactly right. They had to keep the music low, so the mics could pick-up the dialogue. But the mics would always pick up their footsteps too, which sounded ridiculous. Not to mention, most soap opera towns during that era were too small to support a disco anyway. It was later in the 80s, that nearly all the soap towns suddenly became major cities. Several soap operas (I'd say at least half of them) included discos over the course of three or four years, but I never believed any of them worked. Discos simply do not work on videotaped daytime soap operas.

That would have been interesting. I think they would have liked writing for a more community based show then a core family centric show like ATWT (which is why I never understood why Long failed at Search and went against type and created a new core family for the show..) and enjoyed writing the platonic matriarch patriarch couple of Jo and Stu.
I remember how boring Alan was redeemed. But Marland pusses out all his males like Ross, who married the unsexy "Carrie Todd" and was running around in matching jogging suits and drinking veggie shakes..
Interesting the history of Amanda, I just remember her as Marland's sad wimpy victim...so their was a basis for Poser's "mean girl" Amanda from the Dobson era.

-- AA is so terrible as Tomas that I have no words. He doesn't even need to speak to show how terrible he is. His body language when he walked into Kat's place was so unnatural, so pathetically bad. If I saw some improvement, I'd mention it, but I don't. He's not getting any better.
-- The Kat and Tomas story does. not. work. That's because of Alegria. It's impossible to believe anything about that story.
-- I also cringe at the "Leslie has unlimited funds" line that we keep hearing. Isn't there a reasonable way to get her involved in this free clinic rather than having her fund the entire thing? It's just so goddamn ridiculous.
-- A free clinic is something they should have Martin spearheading, not Eva and Leslie, who know NOTHING about medicine or the legalities or anything else. Maybe Madison can work there for free and kiss Chelsea there on her breaks.

Thoughts:
June is doing a wonderful job adjusting to her job, and I love that she is focusing on maintaining professionalism with her job as well.
Vanessa went from enticing Joey to dreading being called over by Dana and Eva. Poor Lady.
The con artist child bride totally wants to get Bill to St Barts so she can kill his ass out of the country. I see how she is.
We are finally getting some legal action going again! And Lynette looks like she means absolute business.
Tomas, cut your losses. She is absolutely not worth the hassle you are putting into her.
Garland Memorial must be the dating hub of Fairmont. First Carlton and Nicole (plus Kial) and now Shanice and Ted are getting to know each other. I am liking their vibe together. Genuinely.
What a kind gesture of Jacob to take Naomi to the Bowman and to try and embrace a romantic adventure for the pair of them.
Oh, the con artist child bride does not like Ms Lynette, which means I am going to LOVE her to no end! Yes!
Notes:
The food at Orphey Gene's continues to look bomb and their prices are impressive as well.
I love seeing Jasmine Burke (June) in the background at Orphey Gene's. It brings a sense of familiarity to that set.
