January 12, 200620 yr Member Yeah for Days!!!!!! enjoy the ice cream, boy did the cast deserve it for last week...
January 12, 200620 yr Member DAMN!! Look at NBC!!! Go Days and Pasions!!! They haven't had ice creme it a LONG TIME!!!
January 12, 200620 yr Member In total viewers, averages for the week were: CBS, 4.2 million; ABC, 3.2 million; NBC, 3.1 million. WOW! NBC is only 100,000 viewers from catching ABC. I don't think I have ever seen them that close? This Week vs Last Week ABC (-300,000) CBS (-100,000 NBC (same)
January 12, 200620 yr Member TOTALLY unfair that Y&R and B&B's Monday numbers aren't included! Totally Agreed!
January 12, 200620 yr Author Administrator TOTALLY unfair that Y&R and B&B's Monday numbers aren't included! Stupid CBS for making the decision to not include Monday's ratings. GO NBC. It's nice to see them have a great week in demos.
January 12, 200620 yr Member Totally Agreed! Didn't NBC always use their holiday numbers in the 90's? And even now? Stupid CBS for making the decision to not include Monday's ratings. GO NBC. It's nice to see them have a great week in demos. CBS made that decision?! WHY?!
January 12, 200620 yr Member THIS IS BULLSHIT BULLSHIT PSNS deserves wayyyyyyyyyyyy higher from last week. WAY HIGHER THIS IS BULL $%#^ the ratings ALL I WANT IS A 2.0 for PSNS! IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK FOR? A 1.9....ALl I want is a 2.0 THIS IS HORSE [!@#$%^&*] What is so special about those Y&R and B&B episodes?
January 12, 200620 yr Member So,the day of GL's "new way of storytelling" was their lowest rated show? I don't think it was the idea of a character-focused Wednesday that turned people off...guess some people just didn't want to watch a whole show about Harley..and episode did drag. I've read an overall positive response for the Josh & Reva episode so next week's ratings should be better.
January 12, 200620 yr Member TOTALLY unfair that Y&R and B&B's Monday numbers aren't included! To each their own. I don't think it will make much difference anyhow. Both soaps will still be in the top 2 spots as always. Waiting for HH....
January 12, 200620 yr Member CBS made that decision?! WHY?! I believe the networks have to decide beforehand to make an episode "special." So, CBS decided to play it safe, just in case there would have been a dip in viewership on that day, which would have made their ratings worse. But, what's stupid is that Christmas and New Year's always seem to pull in big ratings, so it's an odd decision on their part. I think they've been overly cautious with the ratings ever since Barbara Bloom became the CBS daytime chief.

I think they've been overly cautious with the ratings ever since Barbara Bloom became the CBS daytime chief. I agree, I think they play it safe in case it backfires. I'm not sure about the details and perhaps I'm not 100% correct, but I seem to remember reading that back during the 1998-99 Christmas/New Year's holiday, CBS did include the ratings from Christmas Day when all the CBS soaps showed old classic episodes (sure wish they still did that!) and by doing that it actually brought their weekly averages down. In GL's case, I think they got a 4.2 for that week but if they hadn't included the Christmas rerun, it would've been a 4.4.
