January 13, 200620 yr Member The ratings do suck but they do seem to be stabilizing which is better than continually declining. I choose to look at the glass as half full as opposed to half empty. Yea for DAYS and PASSIONS. Hopefully with the full week without preemptions, will bring blockbuster ratings for both shows.
January 13, 200620 yr Member There is absolutely nothing positive to say about any of the soaps numbers. Historically, this had to be the worst end of a year/beginning of a new year in soaps. Syndicated daytime fare didn't seem to suffer the same fate as the soaps. So people are watching tv, they just didn't check out the soaps. 2006 could be a very, very bad year.
January 13, 200620 yr Member TOTALLY unfair that Y&R and B&B's Monday numbers aren't included! If the other shows would've aired, they'd have higher numbers also. The only reason the numbers are higher is because nearly everyone was off last Monday.
January 13, 200620 yr Member I think this is great for DAYS and NBC, if they weren't doing this SL they would have all the - that all of the other soaps do! They stayed the same pushing them to number 2. And that +2 gain for them in the demo is a big accomplishment for them considering that they are tied because the other two soaps dropped!!
January 13, 200620 yr Member What happened on B&B & Y&R special episodes? What were the epis about? They were probably just regular episodes but they aired on Monday, which was a national holiday. Most people went back to school and work either Tues. or Wed.
January 13, 200620 yr Member I'm so happy that days shot up in 18 - 34 and 18 - 49. I can't wait to see what the total viewers is for both NBC soaps. Days was great on Friday. I'm wondering how many watched that day. Let's hope this trend continues with Days cause it was rockin all last week.

January 13, 200620 yr Member Yes welcome-the more Days fans the merrier . I amk disappointed with the ratings for both Days and Passions but at least they did very well in demos. Now Days can have ice cream!!! I hope that Days goes up in HH for this week because this week dealt with the actual death and the whole week has been superb. I hope those that tuned in last Frida stuck around and that word got out and other people tuned in this week. I just want a 3.0 but at least there was good demo growth-NBC needs and probably is happy with that.
January 13, 200620 yr Member Cool! another DAYS fan! Welcome to SON downwhtone. Thanx for the welcome! I've been lurking around these boards for a while now and finally decided to register and do some posting. Days fan here since '93. Passions fan from the start. And started watching B&B back in July '05.
January 13, 200620 yr Member THIS IS BULLSHITBULLSHIT What is so special about those Y&R and B&B episodes? Easy!! They kick Passions to the curb!!
January 13, 200620 yr Member Wow awesome demo numbers for DAYS, especially in a week when ALL the other soaps fell except PSNS. Also a 2.3 in 18-34, thats AWESOME, when was the last time DAYS was THAT high?

Also a 2.3 in 18-34, thats AWESOME, when was the last time DAYS was THAT high? It is great and I think it was April for the reunions of the castle people. I wanted better HH numbers but I will take what I can get. Maybe next week we get a little bump in HH but I am happy with what they got so far.
January 13, 200620 yr Member Well aslong as DAYS rises in 18-34 and 18-49, I am happy. I couldn't really care about Households, they mean jack [!@#$%^&*]. NBC will only be really caring about those two demos and DAYS had a +.2 and a +.3 and is #1 in both of them, they will be looking at this story as a rating success, which is VERY good.
