Kathryn Hays should have been at least nominated in the Best Actress category for the Daytime Emmy. Such a disgrace that she wasn't nominated.

Would it have been so bad to have more than one nominee for ATWT

Not to brag, but what other soaps have as many Oscar, Tony and Grammy award winners? In the decade from the early 80s to the early 90s alone, there were so many actors that became very well-known/famous in popular culture worldwide, in movies, in Broadway, television, making platinum status albums.

The downside was that most of those actors were never going to stay beyond three, maybe four years, which kind of throws so many aspects of the story/show for a loop. The lone exception had to be Tamara Tunie (Tony award winning producer) and it's pretty obvious to me as to why she stayed as long as she did.

Yeah, I was crushed when Julianne Moore left.  At that time, I was like, "WHY?!" She would never get a better gig or character than Frannie, I thought.  lol  At the time, I was too young to appreciate that deep talent of some of these ATWT actors.

That's why one never gets to convince younger actors they are making a mistake leaving at the end of their first contract. Because there has been a handful who DID make it so the hundreds who didn't don't matter when you think you have *it*.

Oh my goodness, the Muzak in the restaurant during the meeting scene between Emily and Brock @ 29:00 is "Emotion" by Samantha Sang/Bee Gees. 😲 Don't know how I figured that out so fast, lol.

So weird that CBS would put a rerun of Mash smack dab between GL and LOL.

Was 2 PM a timeslot for local affiliates at that time? I think had LOL followed GL at 2 PM, it would've probably lasted longer.

Yes it was. I would watch up to GL. I was never a Mash fan. I never watched LOL either.

I hated it...we would watch GL as a kid and then that damn "Suicide is Painless" would start and we would rush to change it...(before remotes..) and I still rush for the remote as soon as I hear a few bars of that song knowing that show is coming up.  Our affilate went directly into "Dialing for Dollars," and I never knew LOL was still on at that time.

Haha I would just turn the tv off after GL was over. That's why I never knew about LOL.
