Members Paul Raven
To add to the Rita/Carol timeline mystery... This TV Guide cover from August 71 shows Rita in the group,so it appears that she was on the show around that time which is months before Irna rejoined.

Members All My Shadows
Have we ever had an accurate, complete caption of who all is in the photo? Obvious ones are Grandpa, Nancy, Chris, and Judge Lowell across the front. Lisa above Grandpa and Nancy, Carol above Judge Lowell, David Stewart giving that tragic look at top-center-right, John above him, Lisa's mom Alma on the far-left facing right. Who is everyone else?
Members vetsoapfan
The front row has Grandpa Hughes, Nancy and Chris Hughes, and Judge Lowell Above them: Tom Hughes, Lisa Miller, Penny Hughes (a poorly-received recast Phoebe Dorin), Carol Hughes Next up: Alma Miller, ????, David Stewart, and Susan Stewart Top row: ????, Simon Gibley, John Dixon, Ellie Bradley Edited January 6, 2018 by vetsoapfan
Members All My Shadows
Thanks!! I figured that was Jerry Lacy next to John, but I never knew he was on ATWT between his Dark Shadows and Love of Life stints. This must be Tom's hippie phase.
Members vetsoapfan
Yes, Jerry Lacey played Simon Gibley on ATWT in 1971, after his run on DS and before his role on LofL. Peter Galman played Tom from 1969 to 1973. He and Gregg Marx were my favorite actors in the role. I wish I could remember the two actresses in the photo whom I couldn't identify. It is frustrating how vague memories can skirt around the very edges of your mind, but when you try to grab hold of them, they drift further away. Maybe someone like zanereed will drop by this thread and help out.
Members dc11786
I'm pretty sure the actress in the top row is Nina Hart, who played Meredith. I'm throwing this out there, but could it be Fran Carlon, as Susan's mom Julia?
Members Paul Raven
This Afternoon TV Cover is dated June 72. Probably on sale May 72 and reflecting events of a few months previous. So Tom and Barbara are being highlighted, yet by July 72, Tom is marrying Carol. classicsodcovers **BONUS** Afternoon TV (Cover Date: June 1972) Donna Wandrey & Peter Galman (Barbara & Tom, AS THE WORLD TURNS) MORE YOU MIGHT LIKE **BONUS** Afternoon TV (Cover Date: June 1972) Donna Wandrey & Peter Galman (Barbara & Tom, AS THE WORLD TURNS)

Members vetsoapfan
Actually, that probably is Fran Carlon; good catch. I do not remember Meredith very well, but it could be her too. Thank you so much!
Members SoapDope
Peter Galman said on his youtube page that he was trying to track down some of his ATWT work. I know there are some early 70's episodes listed as being at UCLA archives , but they are not available to be viewed. How many Barbara's were there before CZ took over the role in 1978 ? Donna Wandrey is listed as # 3.
Members Paul Raven
Judi Rollin and Barbara Stanger are both listed as playing Barbara.
Members SoapDope
IMDB has Judi Rollin listed as Babs # 1 (1971) and Barbara Stanger as # 2 (1972-1974). That can't be right because they have Donna Wandrey as # 3 and she was playing the part in 1972. I say Wandrey was before Stanger.
Members vetsoapfan
Barbara Stanger was on Love is a Many Splendored Thing in 1972-3, so IMDB must be wrong...again, LOL.
Members Paul Raven
Variety says Donna Wandrey came on in Dec 71. So perhaps Stanger was on for a short time in 71.Maybe that got her noticed by CBS and they poached her for LIAMST?
Members vetsoapfan
Possibly. She was a good actress, and did solid work on LIAMST. fans just never forgave her for not being Donna Mills, LOL.
