Members marceline
I've never quite understood the reasoning behind what goes in the spin report.

Members marceline
People extending their vacations from the 4th, maybe?
Members Soapsuds
I know a lot of people had Monday off the day after the 4th. But of course ABC soaps werent shown on Monday just CBS and Days.
Members jdawg1077
A good portion of the country experienced a heatwave last week. That might've kept more folks indoors, just like snowstorms do in the winter. Who knows...
Members Kimmiemae
I hope OLTL and Days goes up! OLTL is a lot better than what the ratings suggests. I don't like the Ford show either, but there are some good soapy stories on OLTL that I am enjoying.
Members Soapsuds
Which ones? I am not seeing them.
Members NYC123
Why are you happy? OLTL has NOT... shown consistant growth or numbers in the demos. Someone mentioned that they will have one good week in the demos but have 2 bad weeks. Also OLTL has been the lowest rated ABC soap and actually the lowest rated soap in general. Nothing to be happy about. Neither am I.
Members OLTL_fan
OLTL beats AMC in everything except total viewers and men, 2 things that really dont matter. Whens the last time AMC hit a 1.0 in the key demo? Whatever im happy and i have every right to be.
Members NYC123
Umm....I never said you could not be happy but it seems like you are gloating. OLTL is not getting good ratings though. When a network sees that the show is LAST...and ALWAYS LAST in the TV and HH that's not good even with "okay" numbers in the demos. OLTL is ALWAYS under ATWT which is CANCLED! That is NOT good what so ever. Also I want to see ATWT ratings. Its been better as of late.
Members AS THE WORLD TURNS
Same here. It has been really good these past couple weeks. I hope Toups has good news for ATWT. I hope it went up for the six straight week in a row in viewers and the 5th straight week of year to year gains
Administrator Toups Posted July 15, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted July 15, 2010 CBS coded Monday's episode as special....and of course they were the highest rated episode of the week. I guess they didn't want a higher average for this week to make next week's rating not have a big fall? I don't understand why they would want to code a holiday as a special. 5.57 million people watched Monday's Y&R episode and it didn't count. *shakes head*
Members Jonathan
Interesting. It wasn't a repeat, was it? If not, they probably thought it was going to be one of their lower-rated episodes for the week. They're probably kicking themselves now for doing that. Members DRW50
If the ABC soaps are going to survive they all need to go up. I don't think AMC being flat in demos makes any improvement for OLTL, it just makes it more likely both AMC and OLTL would be at risk.
