May 12, 201016 yr Author Administrator Who I hope to win: Outstanding Drama Series Anyone but GH. Outstanding Lead Actress Doesn't matter Outstanding Lead Actor JAMES SCOTT, as EJ DiMera (DAYS) PETER BERGMAN, as Jack Abbott (Y&R) DOUG DAVIDSON, as Paul Williams (Y&R) Outstanding Supporting Actress ARIANNE ZUCKER, as Nicole Walker (DAYS) Outstanding Supporting Actor JONATHAN JACKSON, as Lucky Spencer (GH) BRIAN KERWIN, as Charlie Banks (OLTL) Outstanding Younger Actress MARNIE SCHULENBURG, as Alison Stewart (ATWT) SHELLEY HENNIG, as Stephanie Johnson (DAYS) Outstanding Younger Actor DREW GARRETT, as Michael Corinthos, Jr. (GH) SCOTT CLIFTON, as Schuyler Joplin (OLTL)
May 12, 201016 yr Member Does Jackson even have enough to submit? All I remember are all those endless weeping scenes.
May 12, 201016 yr Member Outstanding Drama Series All My Children The Bold and The Beautiful General Hospital The Young and The Restless Meh. Days should have made the cut over those shows. So should ATWT, but they chose a bad reel so no surprise. Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team All My Children As The World Turns The Bold and The Beautiful The Young and The Restless I'd say it's between ATWT & B&B, unless ATWT submitted their Best Show reel. Then B&B has it in the bag. Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team All My Children The Bold and The Beautiful General Hospital One Life To Live Meh. Who cares? You KNOW something's wrong at Y&R when they fail to earn a directing nod. Outstanding Lead Actress BOBBIE EAKES, as Krystal Carey (AMC) MAURA WEST, as Carly Tenney (ATWT) SARAH BROWN, as Claudia Zacchara Corinthos (GH) CRYSTAL CHAPPELL, as Olivia Spencer (GL) MICHELLE STAFFORD, as Phyllis Newman (Y&R) Pretty much what I expected, minus Bobbie Eakes (thought former co-star Flannery would be given that slot) What does Sharon Case have to do to get a nomination here? Oh yeah, that's right, kiss everyone at Y&R's ass. Go Sharon! A Daytime Emmy is NOT worth it at the expense of your self respect. Outstanding Lead Actor JON LINDSTROM, as Craig Montgomery (ATWT) MICHAEL PARK, as Jack Snyder (ATWT) JAMES SCOTT, as EJ DiMera (DAYS) PETER BERGMAN, as Jack Abbott (Y&R) DOUG DAVIDSON, as Paul Williams (Y&R) Really happy to see Davidson & Scott break through. I'd say it's a 3-way tossup between them & Michael Park (his work during Brad's death was nothing short of BRILLIANT!) Outstanding Supporting Actress JULIE PINSON, as Janet Snyder (ATWT) ARIANNE ZUcKER, as Nicole Walker (DAYS) CAROLYN HENNESY, as Diane Miller (GH) BETH CHAMBERLIN, as Beth Raines Spaulding (GL) BREE WILLIAMSON as Jessica Buchanan (OLTL) YOU GO ARIANNE ZUCKER! Richly deserved & I hope she pulls out the win! About time. And YAYYYYYYYYYYYY- Beth Chamberlin!!! I have to say I'm pretty happy with this category- Julie Pinson too . New faces & some nice surprises. Outstanding Supporting Actor RICKY PAULL GOLDIN, as Jake Martin (AMC) BRADFORD ANDERSON, as Damien Spinelli (GH) JONATHAN JACKSON, as Lucky Spencer (GH) BRIAN KERWIN, as Charlie Banks (OLTL) BILLY MILLER, as Billy Abbott (Y&R) Well this category sucks, save Kerwin & Miller. Jonathan Jackson's year is NEXT year people! He didnt' confront Liz & Nikolas until MARCH! Outstanding Younger Actress MARNIE SCHULENBURG, as Alison Stewart (ATWT) MOLLY BURNETT, as Melanie Layton (DAYS) SHELLEY HENNIG, as Stephanie Johnson (DAYS) JULIE BERMAN, as Lulu Spencer (GH) CHRISTEL KHALIL, as Lily Winters (Y&R) Talk about a road to the mantle paved in GOLD for Berman...... If she loses......she has reason to cry. Outstanding Younger Actor DREW TYLER BELL, as Thomas Forrester (B& DYLAN PATTON, as Will Horton (DAYS) DREW GARRETT, as Michael Corinthos, Jr. (GH) ZACK CONROY, as James Spaulding (GL) SCOTT CLIFTON, as Schuyler Joplin (OLTL) Dylan Patton? Seriously, did anyone ever think we'd see the day where an actor playing WILL would get a nomination? They've all been freaks IMO Edited May 12, 201016 yr by juniorz1
May 12, 201016 yr Member I'm so happy that Doug Davidson got an Emmy nom...he deserved it! I thought he'd be nominated in the Supporting category, so Lead is great! All the Younger Actress noms are atrocious, particularly Burnett and Hennig.
May 12, 201016 yr Member -Lead Actress is just the same repeated crap over and over. If Sarah Brown wins she because the first person to win an Emmy in every acting category. -Lead Actor some possible new blood. The Geary/LeBlanc streak is FINALLY OVER. -Supporting Actor - Jonathan Jackson defintely should win NEXT year. He did not do anything until 2010. -Supporting Actress - I am super exicted for Arianne. None of these ladies have won before so it will be a first timer. -Younger Actor - Really? Drew Tyler Bell? General Hospital may look "pretty" but that doesn't mean it should win. The whole year was a wreck including that carnival storyline.
May 12, 201016 yr Member Well, congratulations to Agnes Nixon for the Lifetime Achievement Award. I thought they were going to pick Susan Lucci based on Jim Romanovich's comments in a recent article. But I guess I was close. Didn't she already get this award? I think back in the 1980s. It was called the Trustees Award. Isn't that the same thing?
May 12, 201016 yr Member That's great that Doug Davidson got a nomination, not that it will help him with a story. I'm happy to see that Eric Braeden's name was nowhere on there, he phoned it in big time all of last year.
May 12, 201016 yr Member B&B/GH, Doug Davidson, Maura West, Billy Miller, Arianne Zucker, Drew Garrett, and Julie Berman FOR THE WIN!!!! Edited May 12, 201016 yr by juniorz1
May 12, 201016 yr Member Is Y&R nominated for both Colleen's death and the Wonderful Life episode, or just one or the other? Both sucked. I am glad Stacy Haiduk didn't get a nomination. She's overrated. It doesn't take much skill to play batshit crazy, and that's what some people seem to rave about.
May 12, 201016 yr Member yay for Molly & Shelley. no yah for the viewers it will make ken corday want to keep these two and drag out their boring ass story for another 3 years. boooooooooooooooooo also didnt AMC and GH and YR have the worst year ever? the that will win again is BB....Days ATWT and OLTL should have been nominated. May 12, 201016 yr Member I'm pulling for All My Children in the Writing category, just so I could see Agnes and Pratt together on the stage. And people say she "ghost writes." Please. I hope she hits him over the head with her Emmy. Her name has always been among those nominated even in recent years where she's mainly a consultant. I'm sure they submit her name out of deference. ALL MY CHILDREN ABC AGNES NIXON, WRITER CHARLES PRATT, JR., WRITER ADDIE WALSH, WRITER TRACEY THOMSON, WRITER DARAN LITTLE, WRITER CHRISTOPHER DUNN, WRITER JEFF BELDNER, WRITER CHIP HAYES, WRITER REBECCA TAYLOR, WRITER JOANNA COHEN, WRITER KATE HALL, WRITER MICHELLE PATRICK, WRITER JAMES KAHN, WRITER
May 12, 201016 yr Member I have NEVER been so disappointed in my life!!!! Well I am happy for Bobbie Eakes, James Scott, Drew Garret, Arianne Zucker, and Sarah J. Brown. People I'm not happy for: Ricky Paull Goldin. uhm, just no....Jonathan Jackson, yeah what will he submit? Did the voters confuse 2009 with January 2010 or something? He didn't do crap until the beginning of this year basically. joke. And I'm sorry, but Carolyn Hennesy over Haiduk or Egan? yeah, hell no. Are they kidding me with not nominating David Canary?? I was so hoping he would get nominated and possibly win, complimenting his whole retirement this year....and i am secretly happy for AMC getting nominated in all 3 drama series categories, although it will be embarrassing if they win best writing. LOL, but so not surprised about it being picked for best drama series..i had a feeling.
May 12, 201016 yr Member And I'm sorry, but Carolyn Hennesy over Haiduk or Egan? Hennesy actually is a supporting actress, but I think this nomination is probably about her being on a "hit" (by ABC standards) primetime show. I'm still trying to figure out how Jon Lindstrom got nominated.
May 12, 201016 yr Member Is there ticket information yet? I'm not sure I could resist Vegas and Agnes Nixon.
