I agree with @DaytimeFan as well. All this extra time. All of that extra month. Cutting back from 20 episodes to 16 and THAT'S IT?? That's the best they could come up with. Especially when people keep dropping cut scenes on Twitter that show the season could have had so much more meat to it? THAT'S ALL YOU GOT?

Trash.

That episode was a bore to get through for me. It was like the plot ended in Rome LIKE IT SHOULD. But they STILL had to resurrect it for no reason. This season would have been better off if it had gone where it appeared to be going which was right toward a Kyle takedown.

And those texts didn't even prove anything except that they are heinous bitcas.

I really just can't.

But that said...I do like that more and more...and with LVP gone...we all are seeing who the REAL puppetmaster here. And for that we have proof.

KYLE. Daytime Fan has excellent proof above. And Bravo has flashback clips they could show as well. In fact, they did not hesitate to flashback to one of Brandi's many vulgar talk speeches. Yet they did not flashback to any of the times Brandi brought up Mo cheating on Kyle. YET...they showed clips of EVERY TIME Lipsa had to be the center of the attention whenever anyone mentioned Erika and CHICAGO. THAT right there is VERY telling. The only person who could have that power would be someone who is also a producer. A producer who does not want to look bad. A producer who is tone deaf to how they actually look when showing the clips ironically 'might' show them in a sympathetic light. A producer who has been trying to control the narrative from the very beginning of the season.  But who could I be talking about...hmmmm?

Note that I said puppetmaster, NOT chess player. Clearly she will never be Bobby Fischer.

LIPSA. Fake A$$ bitca. I again have to look to the picture with Amelia and the hats. That scene was clearly staged. Perhaps done in that month period, proving Lipsa to be a lie...funny given the promo for next week. But again, Lipsa is always trying to deflect. Even Amelia was saying her mother was part of the reason for her disorder, but that just flew over Lipsa's head. Is she so self-absorbed, so thirsty for attention. Apparently so. Otherwise, Garcelle checking her wouldn't have hurt at all. It was such a terrible look for her tonight. Over her.

ERIKA. You know what? I liked the CHICAGO scenes. I felt it was a shame she didn't try to spotlight that more to give her a storyline. Like how RHOA Kandi can make a storyline out of anything going on in her life. Erika would have been better off. But if she wants to look like a blowup doll I guess...

IMA HAVENO COM'ENSE MELLONCHAP. I know if I was having a baby shower, I wouldn't want that kinda of energy or drama there. You have the sense to send adults out, but to NOT just HAVE A BABY SHOWER. Girl, stay pressed. Especially after leaking that story of the false tweet only for your benefit? Trying to be a Versace, when you ain't nothing but Forever 21.

DORIT. Oh, her expression were on point. Like when Garcelle checked Lipsa. I hollered. That WILL be a gif. Mark my words. That said...I LOVED she was the voice of reason and asking all the right questions to Brandi. I believe Denise, too.

GARCELLE. Still Queen. If anything I like that she was giving Lipsa a taste of her own medicine. I still love that she has Denise's back. And I only wish she had not apologize, but she is mature enough to do that which is a plus.

DENISE. You did the right thing. And I see next week you might be showing someone how to truly play a game of chess.   And with Camille to boot. Ooooo...

ON MY WISH LIST...Seeing that Garcelle is not stupid from next week's promo and that Brandi did show up to that finale party and that was probably why Denise did not (and Denise said she figured they were trying to get them to meet for drama), it looked like Garcelle was starting to put her foot on ALL OF THEIR NECKS for a second in the promo and I hope that was true. I also hope she gives it to Brandi as only she can.

As I've already said...I am ready for the reunion and some firings. Clearly LVP was not the problem. And that problem...is still there.

I agree. That was really the best part of this season.

Who would have thought Dorit would ever be somewhat redeemed after last season?

Agreed as well. Those 4 plus Camille, and someone new.

We need a shakeup, NYC style when they axed Jill/Alex/Kelly/Cindy.  These 5 can carry the torch into the second decade (yikes!) of RHOBH.

Kyle uttering those words that Brandi never lies was such a joke. I sure wish they had flashed back to all the times Kyle said otherwise, but y'know... producer privilege...

Same for one new woman who is a wild card and WOC.

Now that I think about it...no. And THAT would also be organic drama. As long as no one gets like the Green Eyed Bandits and force a make-up.

Sounds like a perfect idea for a Season 11.

Dorit is the luckiest HW in reality Tv after Porsha. After an icky first season, an annoying second one, boring third one and of course Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy where she broke up a decades long friendship between PK and the VP-Todds -- who would have thought that Dorit would be the voice of reason? Losing 200 pounds of Kemsley dead weight (allegedly) has done wonders for her.

Dorit's revamp of the Olive Garden looks like every old-timey Italian restaurant I have ever been to over here.

This episode felt like it had been re-filmed after the fact. No wonder Denise didn't show up. And the Boring One moaning about Denise's excuse for not coming -- ho, if she had shown up, you would have bitched about how dare she show her face at your precious baby shower!

Also weirdly scripted and contrived: the Boring One's friends being ushered out because they weren't important enough to hear Brandi's gutter mouth. B.O. is so damn smug about being on this show. 3 seasons already! God.

Brandi used to be a stunning beauty. @DaytimeFan put it perfectly,: that bloated face launching profanity-laced invectives when having to account for her words. It's not age which has changed her, its all the awful [!@#$%^&*] she had done to her face! And she's not the only one -- Kyle's nose at certain angles looks like it is disappearing into thin air.

Kyle was so smug scarfing down pasta while Brandi told her story. She is 100% behind this. And so is Rinna. That scene at Kyle's house felt like a re-shoot, as did the Amelia changing-caps scene and even the Denise-Rinna scene in the previews. Did they redo the scene where Rinna breathes "Ooooo you are so ANGRY" ?

    • And this came out as the "feud" and the media pushing the protests in Los Angeles got all the media attention. They know the press and the public will not care or can be manipulated into approving.

    • Hope you will enjoy the 1976 storyline from the Daytime serial Newsletter. The show had just expanded to an hour so new characters and stories were required. The Soderbergs had been writing since late 73 and the show was still #1. Looking foward to comments and discusssion Pt.1  For over two decades As the World Turns has depicted the events in the lives of two Oakdale families: the wealthy and influential Lowells and the less affluent but equally respected Hughes family. Judge Lowell’s granddaughter Ellen is married now to Dr. David Stewart, whose adopted son, Dan, is actually her own illegitimate child. Dan was once married to Dr. Susan Stewart, by whom he has a daughter, Emily. Dan then married Liz, the ex-wife of his late brother Paul. Liz was the mother of Dan’s daughter Betsy, who believes to this day that Paul was her father. Liz died tragically the day after their wedding. Ellen and David have two daughters, Carolann (Annie) and Dawn (Dee), now of college age. Dan has recently fallen in love with Kim Dixon, who was about to divorce Dr. John Dixon until injuries suffered in a tornado caused amnesia and left her with no memory of her love for Dan. John is using this respite to solicitously convince Kim of his love for her. Nancy and Chris Hughes had three children: Bob, a doctor, Donald, an attorney, and Penny, who, after tragically losing two husbands due to automobile accidents, is now living in Europe, where she is married to a racing-car driver. Bob was married while very young to Lisa Miller, then a scheming and selfish young woman, whose machinations destroyed their marriage. She is the mother of Bob’s son, Tom, who is divorced from Carol, who is now married to Jay Stallings. Tom is currently married to Natalie Bannon. Bob later married model Sandy Wilson, a marriage which ended in divorce, and Sandy is now married to Norman Garrison, who is her partner in a beauty products concern. Norman blames Bob for Sandy’s  recent disillusionment with their marriage, and, ironically, Norman suffered a heart attack during his verbal assault on Bob at a Hughes family party; and while Bob rode with him in the ambulance to the hospital, Bob’s beloved wife, Jennifer, Kim’s sister, died in a car crash while driving home alone. Lisa, more mature and considerate of others now, is married to attorney Grant Colman, but her life has been complicated by the recent arrival in town of Grant’s ex-wife, Joyce, and the incredible news that she and Grant had a child after their separation, a child Joyce gave out for adoption but now wants to reclaim. Now the story continues... The picture has now come clear for attorney Grant Coiman. He has learned that his ex-wife Joyce neglected to tell him she had a child shortly after their divorce and had given the boy to Mary and Brian Ellison for adoption. Grant, after seeing the adoption papers and considering the boy’s interests, tells Mary he feels the child should remain with them; they are providing a fine, stable home for him. Grant’s wife, Lisa, is pleased with his decision, feeling he has thus closed the door to the past and they can now go on with their own lives. But Joyce has learned that attorney Dick Martin is now back in private practice, and she tells him she was confused when she gave Teddy up years ago and wants him to represent her in a custody action to get her son back. Dick tells Joyce she has a very weak case but he’ll do what he can. He goes out to Laramie to see the  Ellisons, upsetting them very much. Grant, meanwhile, has confided in Chris Hughes, his law partner, that while his name was on the consent form for the Ellisons’ adoption, he didn’t sign the papers; he had, in fact, never known that he had a son. But he’s afraid to open a new can of worms by signing a consent form now, as that would reveal that the adoption papers are not legally correct. Grant confides the situation to Lisa, explaining that if he wanted to,  he could probably get custody of Teddy himself, but that’s not what he feels would be best for the child. Mary Ellison finally breaks under the strain of Dick’s visit and tells Brian that Dr. Paulk, the doctor who arranged the adoption, told her he didn’t know where to find the baby’s father and so he signed the consent form himself. She painfully explains she kept this secret knowing that Brian wouldn’t go through with the adoption if he learned the papers weren’t legally sound. Brian quickly calls their family lawyer, Jerry Butler, who immediately phones Grant to be sure he backs the Ellisons’ claim. Dick realizes from Joyce’s story that Grant couldn’t have signed the papers and tells him he knows. The only person who has a right to file for Teddy’s custody now is Grant; he’s the only injured party. And the moment he files, Dick can sue for invalidation of the Ellisons’ adoption. Grant finally files, to settle the custody question once and for all, but technically he's filing for custody himself. Tom Hughes and Natalie Porter are married in a small, lovely ceremony at the home of his grandparents, Nancy and Chris Hughes. They honeymoon in the Southwest and return full of expectations of happiness. Natalie is disquieted, however, when flowers arrive which are not from her new husband. She covers by pretending to check with the florist and tells Tom it was a wrong delivery and they have told her she might as well keep them. But she knows who sent them. Natalie is upset when, shortly after, Luke Porter arrives in town and seeks her out. But Luke insists he is there only to assure her this is a final farewell and he has now decided to concentrate on. making his own marriage work. Sandy Garrison, Bob’s ex-wife, is working at the  bookstore to fill in for Natalie. Her estranged husband, Norman, recovering from a heart attack he suffered during a drunken confrontation with Bob at the Colonnade Room, is still telling anyone who will listen that Bob and Sandy are having an affair, but ironically will let only Bob care for him at the hospital. His recovery is hampered by his easily aroused temper. Norman anxiously tries to persuade Dr. John Dixon to convince Bob to swear he slipped at the restaurant, thus making them liable for a costly lawsuit, but John won’t do this. Chris discovers a large amount of money missing when checking the books on the Garrisons’ business, but doesn’t want to upset Sandy with this. More to come...

    • Oh wow that’s pretty awesome! I wish I had  approached him but there was so many people
    • In the current environment, while it's small, there is a crumb of good news: Apparently, San Antonio voted for a DEMOCRATIC mayor, Gina Ortiz, beating the "right-hand man" of Gov. Greg Abbott, former Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5337199-gina-ortiz-jones-wins-san-antonio/
    • Love this! You are both adorable. Wow
    • I have not gone back to watch much of 1987, but from what I've seen lately, it doesn't feel like the writers or producers had any sort of plan. The show feels as if it's constantly in flux.  I will give it credit for this. It's watchable for the most part minus Lisa/Jamie which I find nearly unwatchable now.   I don't find Cheryl mousy. I think she has a lot of quiet strength, but she was saddled with the Scott romance which the writers did not invest in. She had a good friendship with Julie (also criminally underused), and her interactions with Ada were enjoyable as well. I also like Layman, but Spencer was extremely talented and when Cass returns, Schnetzer and Spencer have some wonderful scenes. Spencer also fits in with Alexander, Hogan, and Marie.  I'd forgotten just how much I missed seeing Wallingford. IT was so good to see him again. Even when they didn't have a major plot, Felicia/Cass/Wallingford/Mitch always brings a smile to my face.
    •   Dani’s cute ass party planner. He gave me some tea but I was so drunk I don’t remember it.
    • NBC must have been grateful to have LHOTP, it's only hit and still strong after several seasons. Their next established show was Rockford Files at 45th. They didn't develop any comedies and relied on movies and mini series  which didnt establish viewer loyalty and habits. Their only new hit was mid season's Project UFO which debuted Feb up against Rhoda/On Our Own on CBS and How the West Was Won on ABC. It opened with a strong 36 share beating CBS and close to ABC as HTWWW had a 36 share over 3 hours. The next week UFO saw a respectable 32 share, then a 31 so it was slipping. A 28 share followed but a few weeks later it jumped back up to a 34. So no blockbuster but compared to what else they had, there was potential, So next season NBC sent it to Thursday up against Mork and The Waltons and it bombed.  They were smart to see potential in Chips, which took off on Saturdaysnext season. ABC was on a roll with Love Boat, 3's Company, Taxi, Eight is Enough adding to their hits. Their only real flops were Redd Foxx and San Pedro Beach Bums, an Aaron Spelling misfire. Like Redd Foxx, Harvey Korman was lured to ABC but his series was a filler that did well but was considered a time slot hit. Nancy Walker and Rob Reiner were also given series on the philosophy that not only were they popular names, their absence from popular shows like Sanford, Rhoda and All in the Family might weaken those shows. CBS were relying on old favorites. Betty White was strong the first few weeks then faded. Incredible Hulk was their strongest newbie. It was lucky for CBS that NBC was doing so badly or else some of their weaker shows would have really suffered.
