And I'm totally cool with that. I'd actually love for her to have as much presence as Danielle has on New Jersey, even WITH talking heads.

Re: NJ, as mentioned up thread, I am one who does NOT think Margaret is suffering the second season curse at all. We haven't had a real breakout newbie from New Jersey since Teresa's family joined in season 3. Yeah, Dolores is okay, but Margaret has personality and humor. Her one lil "mail order bride" comment was nothing to get all pissy about. Instead, it feels like Jennifer's "outrage" against Margaret and Jackie is producer-coaxed. Like "hey, you gotta cause conflict with your co-stars or else you won't last another season." Very forced, IMO.

OMG the Countess...   Everyone looks great.

LOL I don't usually care for cast pics one way or another, but this one was perfectly styled. And putting Luann -- in a cherry-red va-va-voom dress (by JOVANI?) -- right in the centre must be Bravo's way of acknowledging what the Countess has brought to the show in terms of free publicity. I'm surprised Bethenny allowed it to happen.

Andy's baby shower was one big show. Rinna was hilarious screaming at all of the women to get on the table and dance for Andy and his baby, citing the fact that Andy has "paid for your lives!" The stories about LVP not showing up are so weird and obsessive from Erika and Rinna...like, ladies, she thinks you're awful. She's not going to tolerate you. She doesn't have to.

The NYC cast photo is perfection. They all look individual and clearly identifiable. Luann's hair and red dress is on point. Sonja looks great, as does Dorinda in that gorgeous coat. I wonder if Bethenny is furious that she was right on the outskirts of the shot...

Cannot wait!

NEW JERSEY

This season has been great and so fun to watch.

Danielle appears to be a raving lunatic. Jennifer is a tacky bitch. The two put together are a mess. And the episode was riveting.

Classic Marge absolutely destroyed Jennifer without breaking a sweat. As she said, mid bite of dinner, she hit a nerve with that girlfriend comment. Jennifer really blinked. Spoke volumes. And then Marge actually landed that wine onto Danielle, who then became a raging bull complete with producer and security intervention. I'm glad that tension was finally broken.

Teresa is so unspeakably stupid it's amazing. She is easier to manipulate than a piece of dough. And she has the most skewed view of reality it is shocking.

I hate to say it but I really liked Melissa this episode. She was screaming the truth from the top of her lungs. I couldn't believe it but I was rooting for her.

The Andy Cohen baby shower/Housewives meetup was a dream come true for anybody who loves cross-show interaction, lol. Andy really is an OG housewife himself, as much as Vicki Gunvalson or Nene Leakes are.

However, Rinna has been bugging me the last few years and I can't warm to her shtick the same way. I loved her Billie Reed on Days, enjoyed her outsized personality on Soap Talk, thought she was a great pot-stirring addition on BH. But much like Rinna when she sees Yolanda's Instagram pics of Yo, Brandi & Kim, I'm not feeling it anymore. When she extorted the other HWs to dance for Andy because he "paid for your lives!" --- yes, it's true, yes, it's amusing, if a little 'dance for your master, monkeys!' It's also playing to Andy's huge ego. Rinna is such an effing kiss-ass. OK, so I can't say I didn't enjoy how she basically hijacked Kyle's role as hostess, lol. At the same time, her posturing felt contrived and obviously has a wider agenda -- which is to have Andy's ear the way Kyle does.

RHONJ:

This last episode was SO GOOD.

I really enjoy the natural chemistry between all the women. The cast has diverse personalities that somehow manage to complement each other. Dolores, for example, is often cited as the 'boring one,' but I loved her Greek Chorus during the fights, and the way she, Marge and Jackie bonded over she and Jackie's shared struggles with eating disorders.

Jennifer may be tacky (and Jersey) as hell, but I enjoyed every blow-up, every failed hair-tossing walk-off-in-a-huff. I am starting to hope that Jennifer gets a second season!

Marge vs Danielle was as messily magnificent as the previews promised. I was so Team Marge this episode. The way she rounded that table to have a second go at Danielle was amazing -- not too hasty, but purposeful lol. This rivalry is off the chain and v watchable. BTW Danielle's filler in her cheeks is out-of-control.

Melissa has been improving the last few seasons (though I still feel the way she sold out the Gorga family to get on RHONJ was deplorable). She is definitely coming across as mature and the voice of reason -- though with Teresa in the same room, that is an easy feat to accomplish.

All is fair in love, war, and business. If true, Nene was a dumbass to even reach out to LVP and share her ideas. She should've just went with her gut and invested in the spot. But given Nene's floppy business background, I doubt this bar would've lasted long.

These chicks are so pressed that LVP is out her making money moves outside of Housewives while this is all the rest of them have to cling too.

Nene makes it so hard to Stan for her. How the hell u mad at Lisa Vanderpump about a bar you never opened?! Not in West Hollywood, not in Atlanta, not in your basement! This is so insane I can’t begin to understand. Was Pump the only available lot in West Hollywood?!

    •   1. 11/1/83 cast/set list:

Please register in order to view this content

The "11/2/83" video you posted of Ruth Buzzi's scenes includes Roman and Hope in them, meaning the video you posted is actually 11/1/83, since Roman and Hope aren't in 11/2/83.   2. The video you posted of "11/2/83" has scenes with Roman and Hope. As you can see from my cast/set list, Roman and Hope are not in the 11/2/83 episode (see above note):   4573...11/2/83: Cast: Mickey, Julie, Doug, Maggie, Neil, Don, Marie, Alex, Liz, Andre as Tony, Gwen, Chris, Eugene, Sandy, Letitia, Charlene, Mrs. Whiting, Wanda/Guard, Dave, Delia, Saleslady # 1, Saleslady # 2, Figure in Dark, Raven/animal, Cats/animals, Birds/animals.   2.  11/3/83 :My video collection starts with 11/4/83. so I don't have the 11/1/83 or 11/3/83 video, but in addition to the cast/set list for 11/3/83, here is also the parking clearance call sheet for that day, showing Ruth was not only in the cast/set list but did work that day:     They even had hired the animal trainer and all the animals for the day, so It's sort of a certainty that her scenes were not cut that day, or it would have been a big waste of the budget. 3. As for 11/7/83, I just fast-forwarded through that whole episode myself. Letitia is in it from start to finish. It's her big final episode where she is killed. She starts the episode saying "Eugene, are you there?" In the next act, Marlena shows up and meets Letitia's lion. Later in the episode, Letitia is killed by "Eugene" (the Salem Slasher in a Eugene mask).   So, as we can see from your own post, the 11/2/83 date you have listed on that video is incorrect, since Hope and Roman are in that video but not in the 11/2/83 episode. It seems the dates you have on all your early November 1983 episodes are incorrect.   When you post videos and suggest that my data is incorrect, do you not first compare who is in the scenes and see if that matches who is in the episode? You didn't do that with the "11/2/83" episode, which based on Roman and Hope being in it means that is actually 11/1/83. Best to do something like that first before suggesting my data and research is incorrect.
    • Within the Dupree family, I predict Vernon/Anita will be conflicted about what to do about Bill and his role in the whole Ted/Silk Press Sheila situation... especially since Bill knows where the particular bone about Martin is buried. Dani, Chelsea, and Naomi's reactions to what Bill possibly did isn't hard to guess.. but Hayley's reactions will be interesting to hear.  Especially given her recent pregnancy scare.. she might not be so much on Bill's side, or she'll totally surprise us and be totally on Bill's side.   Either way, I think Martin's secret will be the main focus in May sweeps.. with the fall out of the Eva secret playing out in the background... while the Joey/Vanessa/Doug thing continues to boil/develop.
    • Hotel was The Love Boat on land but a little soapier. I will forever maintain that Hotel was a time slot hit. I don't believe that 1983/84 Hotel was a better show than Knots Landing.

    • The timing is strange, though. How far in advance would they normally be on location? The Achille Lauro hijacking was on October 7, 1985. Nancy had arrived in Egypt in the storyline by October 18. But the character of Hawk, Chris' Native American friend from Arizona, had already appeared onscreen by September and brought a letter telling Chris to be in Egypt by October 25th.  Why did they already have the link to Arizona before the reason to cancel the shoot in Egypt?  The dust and the jar it came in were from Egypt though. Nancy bought it there and sent it to Mac as a gift before she came back to the states and followed Chris to Arizona.
    • Actually that is not what happened. Nor is the timing right for it to have been. We learned from a WOST interview with Pete Lemay  in 2006, which can be found on YT, that it was Fred Silverman's idea to do the 90 minute show. I don't know how much you know about him but he had these amazing successes as head of daytime at both ABC & at CBS. Then he came to NBC where basically everything he touched turned NOT TO GOLD but to shite. Some of the most expensive shows ever produced up to that time were huge flops. Although even he, like a broken clock, could be right on occasion. However, as we know, he was not right about the 90 minute show. As a matter of fact, afterward,  NBC programmers, who worked FOR him, were asked why they did it & they were quoted as saying it was because they couldn't think of anything else to try. It was a stupid idea from a man who had reached the point where he was throwing anything at the wall to see if it would stick.

    • I stopped watching Another World in 1990. Simply, lost interest in the show.  I had watched the show from 1973 to 1990. The 90 minute show started the decline of AW.  NBC panicked with expanding AW due to the GH hoopla. As mentioned above, 1982 was a trainwreck for AW.  The introduction of the Shea family, the movie storyline involving Jamie, and Steve Frame favoring Rachel over Alice. The writers went into that direction due to the forgettable performance of Linda Borgeson.

    • Ive seen that theory thrown out but the one thing against it is that Leslie and her family lived in Chicago. She only came back to DC last year after her husband died. Unless they say Alan made a trip to DC and died while away, she wouldnt know about that. However I do think the angle of her finding out that Martin was involved could work as that gives her leverage against Bill too for covering it up. She'd want to get revenge on him by threatening to have him disbarred
