And for those wondering why Kyle and co. were rooting for Lisa on DWTS, Lisa said that they were there filming Season 4 so I guess Kim and Taylor are returning (Ugh hope they are just friends, they are useless as official housewives)

The ATL women do not look good. Porsha looks the best by default but she looks like such a little girl standing next to them. Kenya has too much makeup on, especially eyeliner and I don't like that dress. WTF is Nene wearing? Cynthia doesn't look recognizable. Her hair is good but that dress? No

The NJ women as a whole look better. Caroline's dress stands out but not in a good way. The print makes her look older compared to the other woman and a bit cheap. Teresa's hair and dress looks the best.

ETA: Hold up, is Melissa wearing Wig's dress?

I agree Cheap, love the color and shape of Porsha's and I definitely like Teresa & Mellisa's the best for NJ. Caroline's floral is definitely having her stand out.

I shall dub thee, Eagle Eye Cheap... I didn't even notice that.

I'm going to say that OVERALL the ladies look good, with the exception of the NYC and OC gals who look terrible. The only OC gal that looks good is Lydia and Ramona is probably the best from NYC. If this is an indication of who is returning, then I say those are solid blocks, however it is VERY sad to see NYC reduced to just having Ramona as an original, if that's the case. I agree they need a proper revamp, but I miss those original ladies.

I'm curious which New York housewife was called and didn't know the Upfronts were coming up. My guess is that housewife won't be returning LOL.

Is that my girl Aviva from NYC in that last photo!? Not sure how I feel about her new hair color....she was so fierce with that shocking blonde hair of hers! Loved just watching her onscreen. She and the new girls are what really got me interested in NYC (that and this forum).

"I'VE BEEN HERE FOR DDDAAYYYSSSSS LISA!!!!" - Kim Richards

That line is so hilarious and yet so disturbing to watch during the reunion. I can only imagine how Kim and Kyle truly feel deep in the pits of their stomachs when they see just how ridiculous and wacko she sounded during the majority of that Paris trip. Its just a damn shame whatever occurred.

Love how Lisa is diving right on in and going for Kyle's jugular but still smiling as she does it....

EDIT: I put my glasses back on and I now see its Heather. They all look cute though.

RE New Jersey...Caroline looks so atrocious. Can't believe she was even allowed to step out wearing that. Teresa, Jacqueline, and Kathy look the beset. Teresa is stunning in the black. Melissa looks like she's trying to impersonate J. Lo every time I see her but she can't quite pull it off.

    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
