First of all, beautiful Kristen Bell picture, dmarex (Veronica Mars... sigh).

Secondly, I don't think even the writers buy Sonny as a hero anymore. Not when the PTB have cute little children turning against him.

Heh thanks. :) Big sigh.

Most of the "important guys" on the show probably never will pay for their crimes - one of the reasons I can't get into the show. It seems interesting from time to time, but then it turns back into nothing but plot.

The writers have stopped trying to sugar coat Sonny and Jason. I remember in the past they would paint them as these big criminals but never really would show what they do. Now they arent afraid to show the ugly side with both openly plotting murder and actually proceeding to kill people.

Which she no doubt will, once Jake or Cam are SORASed.

And right after that, Sonny and Jason will dig up evidence to show that Dante's Mr. Piletti was really a serial killer, and that Sonny killed him in order to protect the people of Bensonhurst. Quick, somebody give Sonny the medal of honor.

I was thinking the same thing, but no matter what, Sonny shot a cop right on screen. Nothing they can do is going to whitewash that one. Not to mention the way Jason and Sonny consipred to kill Dante in such a coldblooded manner. If ever two people deserved a life sentence these two are it.

Finally! I'm glad that they aren't sugar coating these two as much and yet I find it disturbing that we are watching people like Robin sympathize with Sonny. I would have loved to see her give him the cold shoulder. I really wish Steven had told him to f*ck himself when Sonny started throwing around threats. I'm not sure I have ever despised a soap character more and this isn't love to hate like the way I hate Liz. This is I hate him and hope he dies in a painful drawn out way.

Exactly.

The people in the story who are against Sonny are damaged or not in the know (like Kristina and Morgan) or are pointless characters (like Johnny). Anything Kristina says about Sonny is invalid because she idolizes a man who beats her. As soon as that story is done, I will be surprised if Alexis does not get all the blame and Sonny is the apple of Kristina's eye. Morgan is deluded because he doesn't know about Jax's lies. When he finds out about them, he will probably start to warm towards Sonny again.

I vaguely recall reading that Matt Borlenghi was on recurring which explains why Guza has easily shoved that Cassadine story aside. Guza is caught up with the Dante fall out and

Branco must have been buttering Borlenghi up in hopes of getting GH scoops. Not happening anytime soon.

I knew he wasn't coming because I am confident his reason for coming no longer existed when they fired GV for JJ and let NL go. Once JJ returned, the Lucky/Liz/Nik stuff took center stage.

THere was supposed to be Valentin and some character (possibly his daughter) Mischa. I think she was actually in a couple of episodes when Luke rescued Helena who was ill at the time. She got dumped just as MB did. I hoe neither were sitting around waiting.

    • Assuming that Marland had been allowed to write the Carrie story the way he'd envisioned, Millette would've been involved in the story. And she might've played a role in Andy Norris' return (if the speculation on that had ever materialized, and Marland loved bringing back bad boys) But he doesn't seem interested in Sara's personal life. And the women of Springfield could only be analyzed so much.
    • This better be something, because as I said, so far it's just cliches and stereotypes -- the story we've heard a thousand times about the homeless person who doesn't want a home and prefers to live on the streets.
    • @rsclassicfanforever thank you very much for the recent uploads of season 13 containing some episodes that were skipped or glitchy on YouTube!  I had a look at 3172 though and there is no audio for most of it? Would you have a copy with complete audio? Fingers crossed! Thanks again!

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
