October 25, 201213 yr Member Wow, Greeley is a priest (Catholic, I believe). Of course Cardinal Sins was a massive best seller--I believe he's done religious based murder mysteries too. Just seems odd to have a religion based miniseries...
November 6, 201213 yr Author Member On Pg 20 I mentioned MGM TV developing 'Grand Hotel' as a possible daytime soap. Earlier,they filmed a pilot for the 64-65 season with Barry Sullivan in the lead for NBC. Variety Dec 18th . November 9, 201213 yr Author Member Variety July 15th 1977 CBS bought "Aaron's World," created by Joan O'Brien for the '78 daytime schedule.About a medico's commitment to his children's hospital, his staff and patients. Based on original idea by Joan O'Brien, project will be developed by Linda Grover. This was mentioned back on Pg 2 but this is the written mention I have seen. November 9, 201213 yr Author Member Variety July 26 1972 Henry Jaffe Enterprises in association with Art Wallace has made a deal with CBS-TV to develop a daytime soaper tentatively tagged "Three for Justice." Series created by Wallace is being considered for a start next September or January

December 27, 201213 yr Author Member At the 1976 Affiliates meeting,Madeline David vp daytime programs stated that NBC is developing a 'gothic serial','comedy serial' and a 'finite serial' that will be based on a novel and run for as long as it takes to tell the story - anywhere from 8 - 20 weeks.

January 19, 201313 yr Member A September 1981 interview with cartoonist Lynn Johnston mentioned that she had been offered the chance to turn her strip "For Better Or For Worse" into a daytime serial.
