Members SteveFrame
With these nominations I just wonder who in the world we will get nominated for Best Writing My guess is: B&E for AMC Higley for Days Passanante for ATWT Would round off the awards very nicely
Members bellcurve
I'm guessing non fi-core Head Writers. So, GH, OLTL, AMC, and ATWT?
Members darraholic
I'm very happy for Bree as well. I thought for sure she'd be snubbed.
Members jcar03
I always love it when they have people that know nothing about soaps presenting nominations.
Members DRW50
I forgot to mention I'm happy for Peter Reckell, he has never had a nomination until now, and he did great work when Bo lost his father. Is VI really supporting on AMC?
Members dragonflies
I wonder what they submitted for AMC to get the nomination? The tornado? J&A's wedding?
Members JackPeyton
i heard it was the tornado, but IDK
Members 2shane8
I'm ALWAYS cynical and jaded with the Daytime Emmys, but I had a feeling this time they could not overlook her. It would have been a true in justice. I did not expect Susan Haskell's nod, though, so I'm doubly happy right now!!!! Also happy for the Days and AMC fans, and for the good sense to not nominate GH as Best Drama for once.
Members SteveFrame
If it was the WGA I would think so too, but last year they allowed actors to vote on writing too. Not sure if they did this year or not. But with it being all the members of the Academy, I don't think it will matter here.
Members DemetriKane
SO SO SO PROUD OF ALL MY CHILDREN & DAYS!
Members bellcurve
Actors were voting on writing? Are you effing kidding? Where did you hear that?
Members UKBoi
OMG GO TAMS! I honestly hope she wins this one...either her or Julie Pinson need to get it. If Alicia Minshew wins then it's Natalia Livingston all over again. I'm pretty 'meh' about the rest of them. Especially Outstanding Drama Series...seriously...AMC, B&B and DAYS?! These three soaps have had the worst year ever this year. It should go to Y&R or OLTL... When are the younger actor/actress noms announced? I swear if Kirsten Storms doesn't at least get a nomination this year something is seriously messed up...
Members DemetriKane
AMC GOT 19 NOMINATIONS ALL TOGETHER.
Members bellcurve
I'm sorry, but since when has the Emmys EVER been about "Who had the best year" with the exception of golden boy Ron Carlivati winning for Drama Series Writing? It's always been about the reels. GH wins for stunt after stunt even though their show is crap after sweeps. It's about time someone ELSE be awarded and honored for their achievements. Members detroitpiston
Alicia Minshew is not a supporting actress. Anyway, go MCE, DM, and BW! Though I'm sad Bobbie Eakes didn't get nom.
