im another one of those staright guys that watch. all my friends make fun of me in that friendly sort of way it dont bother me one bit. ithey even let me talk about them with them for my own amusement. what nice peeps i have lol

Straight...I grew up around soap watchers, so it was sorta expected. Sometimes, soap storylines are a great way to "break the ice" with the ladies!

I am straight, and I also have no problems admitting that I watch soaps and proclaiming my love for them.

I am gay so I guess I fit into that stereo-type but I know a few straight guys who watch and there probably are tonnes more out there that just don't admit it . I can remember in my Grade 7 class there was me and these 2 other guys and then 6 girls who always talked soaps.... the majority watched DAYS..... but me and this one chick watched all the ABC soaps, so there are tonnes out there and probably just grew up with them if their mother/grandmother or someone in their family watched them. It has nothing to do with your gender or sexuality....

Plenty of straight men watch soaps I think gay/bi men might be more likely to admit it since we are less concerned with gender roles, stereotypes, ect.

That is one of the most stupidest stereotypes out there. How can you be gay just because you like a certain show? That makes absolutely no sense at all.

I grew up watching soap operas. My grandma was a huge CBS daytime fan and my mom never missed an episode of Y&R. It was only until I was 6 or 7 did I branch off to NBC and started watching DAYS. I just wanted a change and I wanted my own show to watch while my mom and grandma watched theirs. I think DAYS is the majority soap that woos in young viewers. I mean come on, I was 7 and hooked! I had my uncle taping the episodes when i went to second grade LOL.

I love the soaps and I'm 100% straight!

I am straight and have watched OLTL since I was little.

I'm 22 years old and straight. I started watching soaps around the time Victor from Y&R went over the side of a cliff a few years ago. It helped that I was grounded and happend to be watching what my mom was watching that day. Now I watch OLTL, ATWT, & GL too.
