I really love Heejun but was disappointed by him tonight! I hope he doesn't go home though. I love his voice & sense of humor.

Joshua, Holly, and Philip were my faves tonight.

Not a fan of Elise or her voice. It and also her attitude reminds me of Haley Reinhart from last year. No wonder I can't stand her!

Will.I.Am was annoying!

Ugh I hated Haley Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrreinhart from last year (remember that incessant growling noise she made? Oy)

I love Heejun too! He's quirky and has got a voice you would just NOT expect to come out of him. But yes, last night was not a good night for him. He sounded out of breath the whole time.

Colton Dixon is one of my faves. He is definitely marketable and very talented. Love the pornstar name too, haha.

Hollie is very good and has such a powerful voice, but she needs to work on having a stronger voice during the slower, subtle parts to the songs.

Joshua is really growing on me and he had a great night!

Jessica is also very good overall, just a weak night last night.

Phillip is definitely very marketable but not my cup of tea, musically speaking.

I like Deandre. Total Milli Vanilli flashback, lol.

The husband likes Skylar, but I think she's going to become to schticky. Same thing every week where she looks like she's having a lil country temper tantrum at one point in every song.

The weakest links in my opinion are: Elise, Erika, and Shannon. None of them have any charisma or star power.

Idols night on Idol.

Hee Jun. Best performance of his so far.

Jessica. She murdered that Beyonce song in the best way possible. Great.

Joshua. He has a church voice. My one complaint is when he's not singing in that voice. When he IS singing in that voice it's a thing of beauty.

Hollie was good. Not standing ovation good but good.

Skylar is okay but she tends to over sing a bit.

Phillip, Elise. They can sing but I didn't love them tonight.

Curly? I hate him because of his hair (I'm sorry. It's shallow) and because he sings in 3 different voices during a song.

Who am I forgetting? It's somebody I'm going to vote for because the only two I'm not going to vote for are Curly and Phillip. ETA: It's Colton. Lifehouse sings it better but he did a very good job.

The Medley's. The Stevie Nicks one was perfect. The Michael Jackson one was not very good, but not awful. The girls butchered the Madonna classics. They started picking up on energy at the very end but more than a little too late.

Elise is just too mousey/dorky to me. She's like the less cool but just as hippy-like version of Karen, the older sister on The Wonder Years. Phillip is good, but it's all the same, week after week. I'm just not into his type of music. Is he good? Yes. Do I fast-forward thru him? Yes.

Skylar definitely goes overboard. It's like she's having some sort of fit on stage. It was cute the first week, but now she's just annoying. And she did not fit in with Jessica and Hollie in the Madonna trio. It was like watching two dainty females and one butch bulldyke.

Deandre and Joshua make a cute couple. Haha. When they sing those love songs, they're thinking of each other. At first I wasn't too keen on Josh, but he's definitely grown on me. Powerful singer and cute effeminite qualities to him. Deandre just makes me laugh. A mixture of Prince, Justin Timberlake, and Milli Vanilli. I hope he sticks around a few more weeks.

I liked Hee Jun, but I know he wasn't the strongest. And he definitely showed his weaknesses during that trio! Lordy, he could not dance or keep in the same beat as the two boyfriends (Deandre & Joshua). Not surprised he was voted off.

Loved the trio doing the Stevie Nicks songs.

Holly is good, but I'm not totally crazy about her. She'll last awhile I'm sure.

Jessica is a powerhouse. Colton is a star. I hope he wins. I could see it being down to those two. With hopefully Joshua as No. 3. I'm sure Phillip will last longer than I want him to, though. Not surprising, just not my cup o' tea.

I hate that Philip sings ever song the same way.....I want to love him but damn he is making it hard....lol...and I hate his song choices.....I preferred Colton's Cyndi Lauper verions of Time after Time over Phillips song choice...which like I said he sings the same damn way...lol

I sort of gave up watching. Aside from Philip Phillips none of them seem any good. That southern girl's accent can make you cringe. She ruined that Bette Midler song. She cannot physically pronounce the letter I, and it always comes out "ahhh" "You are the wind beneath mahhhh wings". How do they not help her work on this?

    • Garneau was in the Liberal party and his riding was in Montreal. He was the first Canadian in outer space.
    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
    • Did Jordan Clarke have a departure sometime between 1985 and 1989? I know Robert Newman had three runs: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end.
    • Well, they usually weren't on the show at the time for long until the late 90's. But yeah, they really deserved a story centered on them, and not through the lens of Reva.
    • Chelsea was doing the absolute most today! Why was she introducing her sister to a woman she doesnt know? That whole scene was embarrassing. Madison needs to stay away from her bc she is too immature
    • Gosh, what a waste with Lunacy. Why have her live with $B, reveal Finn, pardon her, etc What makes this story incredibly hollow is that what Luna is asking isn't unreasonable - to spend time with her cousin father. She's not asking to move in with them. How hard with it be for Finn to throw her a bone by, say, I'll meet you for lunch/coffee once at week at the hospital cafeteria. Lunacy isn't going to hurt Finn. In fact, all her crimes were related to finding her father and it turns out to be someone she's loved her entire life. Instead of course-correcting the nonsense of last summer, Brad somehow found a way to make this worse! That's a skill... Of all the younger actors B&B has cast during the past 5 years, LY has shown the most growth and range. Why get rid of her?
    • On the subject of sets (seems more interesting to discuss than the actual show)  Some sets we don't see anymore Lauren/Michael apartment (haven't seen that in years) Victoria's house (are Marian/Tessa living there?) Apartment above Crimson Lights (I think Chelsea was the last resident) Penthouse (Lily's home) Chancellor Estate (Devon/Abby) Chancellor office (once Dark Horse) Nick's house GCAC room (used as residence/hotel room for several characters) Some of these may pop up again. The tack house, for example, was not seen for many months before being used again. Have I missed anything?
    • Thanks for searching through everything. Worked on them so long, just too lazy to check for those links myself, so I am glad you chose to do it! I guess I never did type out anything for 1973-1977 in regards to the preemptions, but they are on the charts at least (and this far back, they don't seem to do any of those "breakouts" anymore, so things are simpler in the 1970's, so eventually I could type those out).
    • I dump on the Y&R sets problem all the time, but BOLD is no better -- and they're not even introducing new sets. All of their sets are years old, and very few look like they're inhabited by people with money. Is that going to change with this move? I'd rather they save the money spent on another remote, which is no better than an HGTV travelogue, and get some new/better sets.
    • The donut posts here make up for a Friday show that was barely meh. Aside from seeing Anna, I really didn't care much about anything else. While I understand the thought behind breaking up all the sadness with "other scenes," I'd rather they moved right to John's funeral. Instead of hearing a stupid story about John changing some minor character's tire 20 years ago, just move on to the crying. I also thought the Chad and Cat scenes were a waste. I realize not everyone is devastated by John's death to the point of not functioning, but going sky diving is a choice. By the way, Jack and Jennifer are giving me nothing on this return. Please leave asap. DAYS did such a great job with John's death, so ending the week this way was a letdown.
