The media just loves Cantor, but he is a bumbler and suffers from severe tunnel vision and petulance. He went to a Britney Spears concert instead of going to a budget speech Obama held. I remember that 60 Minutes puff piece, complete with cozy sweaters straight out of a Colbert Christmas, that was spoiled because of one of his snappish aides.

I said this in this very forum a year or two back. The socialist hating, conservative states that despise the northeast and the so-callled liberal elites that live in Manhattan and Harvard, are actually charity cases that would starve if not for the people in Manhattan believing in helping those who need help. These selfish southerners, as represented by their odious congressmen, will now seek to block the federal government from sending money to Sandy ravaged NY, but they will keep their palms facing up to the sky waiting to catch every charity socialized dollar NY sends their way. I say we take republicans at their word and stop income redistribution. Let NY send $1 in for every $1 it gets back, and let the fundie, hick, backwoods south do the same. We shall see who starves first.

LMAO this is perfection:

Dear Red States:

We're ticked off at your attitudes and politics and we've decided we're leaving.

We intend to form our own country with all the Blue States.

In case you aren't aware that includes California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Florida, New York and the rest of the No

rtheast. (see attached Electoral College Map).

We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, especially to the people of the new country of the ESA, The Enlightened States of America. To sum up briefly:

You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states. We get Andrew Cuomo and Elizabeth Warren. You get Bobby Jindal and Todd Akin.

We get stem cell research, the best beaches and the Statue of Liberty. You get OpryLand.

We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.

We get 85 percent of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs. You get Alabama.

We get two-thirds of the tax revenue. You get to make the red states pay their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the Christian Coalition's, we get a bunch of generally happy families. You get a bunch of single moms.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80% of the country's fresh water, more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce, 92% of the nation's fresh fruit, 95% of America's quality wines, 90% of all cheese, 90% of the high tech industry, most of the US low sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy League (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc.) and Seven Sister schools, and Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT. You get Ol' Miss.

With the Red States, you will have to cope with 88% of all obese Americans and their projected health care costs and 92% of all US mosquitoes. You'll get nearly 100% of the tornadoes, 90% of the hurricanes, 99%of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100% of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University and the University of Georgia.

We get Hollywood and Yosemite.

38% of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62% believe life is sacred unless we're discussing the death penalty or gun laws, 44% say that evolution is only a theory, 53% thought that Saddam was involved in 9/11, and 61% apparently believe they are people with higher morals than we on the other end.

It has always been an uneasy alliance so, like we said, we are leaving. Good luck and happy hunting.

Sincerely,

Citizen of the Enlightened States of America

I don't know which one is worse between McCain and Romney, two bitter bullies who are sore losers desperately trying to be relevant when they are not. They are both pathetic, whining over their loss to the President.
