Other than helping to ruin a decent soap, I have little to no history with her. I guess kudos to her for avoiding my radar more than the truly wretched Rachel (who has stunk up the airwaves for 30 years) and her dead-eyed, failed politician husband with closet case vibes.

The only Hersheys I have heard of are Barbara Hershey and Hershey's chocolate. That other person, I have never heard of. (Shrugs)

 

Speaking of vapid Rachel and her googley-eyed husband Sean, my favorite Real World scenes involved Sean being left looking foolish by Kameelah in the Boston firehouse. Boy, I bet even the mention of Kamala's name gives him ptsd of him getting his ass handed to him by way of a public dressing down delivered by Kameelah.

Putin will have them tortured and killed. This is very brave of them, especially since they likely know it will accomplish nothing but are trying anyway. 

 

Fathead Newt Gingrich is now trying to compare them to Trump supporters in his latest attempt to get Trump free of any punishment for his many crimes. Just when you think these pieces of garbage can't get any more craven, they find a new level.

 Her father, before devoting himself full time to trying to keep Longshot in the Mojoverse, left office scandal-ridden and unpopular. She has zero accomplishments to her name, zero charisma, zero brains in her oversized head. The only thing anyone ever remembers her for, beyond never being able to find a dress that properly fit, was getting kicked out of a restaurant and being humiliated so badly by a standup comic at a press club dinner that they never had one again. She couldn't even manage to make a facial expression that didn't look like someone had just belched the contents of a rotting refrigerator right in front of her.

Maybe back when Huckabee was popular...now...not so much. I could tell stories of how people are OVER that name. 

 

But I do think that someone bad will get the position. Sadly.

 

Amen on Barbara Hershey who is overdue another resurrection after the success of BLACK SWAN and the INSIDIOUS movies.

 

And mmmmmm BOSTON: RW, the first and best season of RW I saw. Kameelah, Jason, and Cyrus even came to my college campus as part of the RW tour that year. I was in awe of her awesomeness. 

 

 

Now...I think The Orange One has better things to worry about than picking on a scientist. Doesn't he have a trial starting tomorrow...

      Do we believe that Jabot is at the level of Estee Lauder?? I am on board with Jabot deciding to expand but the way it was handled was ridiculous. Jabot just decided and bingo, that was that. Not months of negotiations and decisions about how it would fit into the Jabot portfolio. And then no follow through. Josh thinks he's serving business stories by characters sitting around and discussing mergers, takeovers and job switching. Now we have Audra setting up her own company -Vibrator or something. Well, why not? You don't need staff, office space or even products.

      He a dirty dog! Those are his kids and he hurt everyone. At this point he needed to just come clean. I can't believe I was lusting over this man! I hope they aren't quick to forgive.

      Not that I want to defend Y&R's writers, but it's not as absurd as you'd think and I believe they plucked it from reality (and then bungled it). The Estee Lauder Companies purchased Tom Ford's brand several years ago and I am willing to bet that's how Jabot came to buy Marchetti.

      Loved the episode today. looking forward to the fallout. Nubian-Sheila looked fantastic, but I wish the writers would cut back on her overuse of figurative language. I loved the "fix yo mind ministries" line though. The background music during her fantasy confrontation with Nicole was epic.

      Jane Wyman return episode was head-to-head w/ Cheers season 8 finale. Falcon Crest broadcast syndication began Fall 1986, which overlapped w/ Oprah going national. AFAIK cable broadcasts were Lifetime and Soapnet. I have no memory of cable broadcasts on TBS, TNT, TNN, E!, FX.

      After today’s rushed and abrupt exit for Summer I immediately realized that Josh & Co. were very blindsided by AL’s decision to leave.  Not the first time this has happened to JG either; see MM & HK’s exits in 2021, MM’s exit in 2022, and of course TSJ’s exit last year. Obviously JG and our executive in charge of nothing Steve Kent don’t have a good handle on casting disruptions. And Mariah having an offscreen affair is [!@#$%^&*] ridiculous!! Meanwhile Tessa’s blonde hair is overkill with the number of blondes on the show already. I said the same thing 3 years ago…of course it was utterly ridiculous everyone was mad at Sally for getting Summer he dream job (don’t ask lol) but there was so much the show could have done without bringing on the Marchetti angle.
