I don't know why, but it always sticks in my craw whenever pundits and the like show so much concern over how the WWC and the Latinos/Hispanics will vote but either show little (if any) concern over how African-Americans vote or assume (or take for granted, however you care to phrase it) we'll vote Democrat.  Like, how many times must we save you from yourselves before you come around to appreciating us, America?

Going forward, I'd like to see that change.

And I can't even make sense of the theory, lol!  Let's see: God put Trump into power (according to the "prophets" that Mama Khan listens to on YT) in order to bust up a devil-worshipping cult of pedophiles that's working from within the government?  And somehow, the Catholic church and Pope Francis (who's to be arrested any day now -- along with the Clintons and Obama) are all in on it??  Honestly, Sonni/Solita was easier to follow.

It's probably because he's running low on self-tanning lotion.

It's gonna make people long for the return of the BLM and George Floyd protests.

Admit it: you, too, thought they were talking about the guy who played Jeff on DYNASTY:

One of the problems is when any racial group is seen as a monolith or taken for granted. It's one of the reasons when I see white people on social media saying things like "black women are saving us again!" I end up cringing (I am white myself and probably no better at being tone deaf, I will admit), because it just comes across as cringey and pandering. It's another version of the 2016 stuff where a lot of people online attacked black men for not voting enough. You need better communication strategies, not trying to tell people what they should or shouldn't be doing. The Democrats were lucky that Trump's virulent racism prevented him from landing on a better strategy than having rappers shill for him. Before their coalition overreached and imploded in 2005-2006, Rove and W had a much more potent strategy.

A few weeks ago I read this article about Qanon spreading in Europe, basically talking about how the reason it's so dangerous is because you can make it what you want it to be. It felt like a kick in the stomach, because that is one of the main reasons Trumpism is so dangerous, and why they are so easy to intertwine.

I saw some photo going around social media - who knows if it was real or another tedious attempt at edgelord humor - of some man's hand, which had a scrawl on it saying he had voted for Biden, but don't call him a traitor because he still believed in Qanon. That really threw me, because it just made me wonder how far this rot is going to end up going.

A month or so ago there was a puff piece on James Baker, as the guy who wrote it (Peter Baker - no relation I assume) had written a book about him. A lot of angst over how he voted for Trump, tried to give him advice (he recommended Rex Tillerson) had planned to again pre-COVID in spite of Trump's many sins, and now did not want to talk about his vote after he and his wife got COVID. I guess his name being thrown around so blatantly led him to finally say the bare minimum, which, for the GOP, is something.

Let's take a look at two of our 2024 media darlings, Haley and Cotton, both showing just why they are unlikely to actually get the nomination.

I don't know if any more of Georgia will be counted tonight, but right now less than 9K separates Biden and Trump (and Perdue remains below the runoff threshold).

If Biden does win, I am giving the credit to Stacey Abrams, but I will give a small tip of the hat to Jo Jorgensen for her services in Georgia and Wisconsin, even though that wasn't intended on her part. Let's just call it karma for Jill Stein.

For as much as we talk about this mess spreading in America, it's sadly a global phenomenon. I remember seeing video of anti-mask rallies in Europe where people were talking about Bill Gates microchipping everyone. Once we have a decent Sec. of State again along with purging the intelligence community of Trump bootlickers will be able to start coordinating with other countries to address this.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
