AFAIK, too, Trump has yet to sign that check.  That's what I mean when I say I doubt TrumpCo. will offer Harvey victims much help in the end.  I have a feeling the state of Texas will be pretty much on its own and that that will DEFINITELY slow rebuilding efforts.

What Trump wishes he could do to Comey or Mueller right about now...

You would think so...except, he pulled this same [!@#$%^&*] before going through with pardoning Buford T. Justice.  Frankly, if I were a Dreamer, I wouldn't unpack my bags just yet.

And it's been going on for years now while Nobel Peace Prize winnter Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has kept silent about it.

The Rohingya have basically been stateless for the past few years now.

I'd always thought of Buddhism as a peaceful religion so I was shocked by the images of monks violently forcing groups of vulnerable people out of their homes.

Or worse. She seems to be passively supporting what's happening to them. I read she said that "ethnic cleansing" was too strong a term to use. I didn't see her condemn what is happening or urge the military to stop trying to drive them out and kill them.  There was a time I would have though maybe we can take them, but we all know that's not happening in 2017. Our government is up to it's own f*ckery.

She's made multiple excuses, saying that things must be done in a methodical way and you can't force change too fast. When people are being burned out of their homes, really??

Another essential issue that might not get notice is that the skirmishes are also land grabs. The Rohingya are not only Muslim but many tend to be merchants who had thriving businesses as well as the land that the businesses occupy. To push them out, also means their property suddenly becomes available.  Nevermind the fact that these people have lived on the land for at least a century, down generations yet are not considered citizens.

It's shameful.

When I first read about this 2-3 years ago, I thought it was barbaric and could only happen in a country where a military dictatorship had been in charge for a long time. Sadly, after this election and the aftermath of what has happened in the U.S., I am forced to think that it is no longer inconceivable for something similar to happen here.

An ICYMI, Kenya's Supreme Court nullified their recent election results and have ruled that a new election must take place within 60 days. By the way, fake news also loomed large during their campaign season.

Kenya Supreme Court Nullifies Presidential Election

Also FYI.

Remember how the Trump administration has moved to weaken the EPA considerably.

    • Is the set for Lulu's new house an updated version of the set used for the childhood home of Luke, Bobbie and Pat Spencer?
    • I feel like AMC would be the easiest of their soaps to revive but a reboot seems cursed at this point. I wish we had more insight on what was pitched for the primetime reboot as well as these movies. That would give us a better idea of why it keeps getting shot down.
    • Mansion of the Damned sure is a "talkative" horror movie.  In the past when I've watched those episodes, I was paying attention to The Edge of Night characters and not really zeroing in on the rehearsals/blocking/filming of the actual movie.  This time I've been following the plot of Mansion of the Damned pretty closely, and all I can say is Hester Atherton and Nicholas Harriman are about the most chit-chatty Witch and Devil I've ever heard in my life!
    • Ashley and Derek have been so isolated that I need the show to develop something, anything to justify their presence. It's not that I think Joey being her father will be the greatest story ever told but at least it would be something and connect her to more characters. I just need the show to move forward with them. Out of all the characters, these are the only two with no storyline/development. We have recurring characters who are better used with less screentime. If the show is going to keep them on contract they need to do something with them.
    • I never thought I'd say it, but SC is B&B's best male actor - by far. SK is next. Has there ever been a US soap that has so much female talent surrounding by Himbos? KKL, JMW, HT, KB, AN, RB could be/have been leading ladies on any other soap. Even the secondary females are the ones who carry their scenes. It's been rare periods when B&B actually had a few solid male cast members. JMW really did a great job in the scenes with AN. Considering everything we've witnessed the past couple of years with Steffy/Hope, I thought reveal may ring hollow. JMW proved me wrong. No doubt this is Emmy material.
    • You won't even accept a minute cameo from Ms Marcil herself so she can collect her cheque?
    • Which has also slowed down from 100 pages a day, but I digress.

Yeah. When even I am getting annoyed with it (and still need to catch up on DAYS new team...two weeks behind now grrr) enough to take a break...and B&B holds my interest more for a show where nothing is going on...it's a BAD sign.   Seriously thinking about that break until

Then we go from there. I just can't believe JG just went and lost all the momentum that was built up over the last month. And during May Sweeps, too? No, ma'am.
    • Works for me!!! Just the back of some brunettes head and a hug lol on the Island And also, I like how it's brand new info Mo was good at his job in the 90's.  That's pretty much the entire reason he's still on the show.
    • I recently edited an older episode to do a Denise Alexander edit but Mo was in scenes & I had forgotten that back then he was actually good at his job.  The contrast with today is well alarming.
