So there is no Saudi arms deal.  I knew a lot of this was started under Obama but this administration apparently did nothing to push anything forward. Not that I am crying because the last thing we need is to do this, but these fools can't stop taking credit for things they are not even doing.

It's amazing how nothing this administration has done. Privatizing air traffic controllers. Something again the PRESIDENT cannot do and no one in congress even has any appetite for doing it. And tell me those rust belt workers are screaming for this.

What the Trump administration's visit to Saudi Arabia has managed to do is embolden the Saudis in a long simmering rivalry with Qatar.

Trump's visit became a catalyst to Saudi Arabia's machinations to isolate Qatar over their connections with Iran.  Some other countries have joined Saudi Arabia in their efforts while other Arab nations have decided to not take sides.

It actually has the potential to become a huge mess!

This may come back to haunt the U.S. as there are U.S. military bases in Qatar, which is part of the coalition-led air campaign against the Islamic State.  We'll see how this turns out when some military jets are sanctioned against landing/refueling at Qatari's airbases-- how that works out for the campaign offensive.

By the way, JMO, but I think that Tillerson has been borderline useless as SOS.

He has but that's by design. The only thing Donnie wants from the State Dept. is the removal of Russian sanctions. Every thing else has been designed to cripple that department. Tillerson wasn't even Donald's pick, he was Putin's.

I posted an article yesterday that says he pretty much only talks to two people, both of whom keep him isolated and try to do everything themselves.

I was just thinking of what would happen if Corbyn becomes PM (which I can't see happening as if Labour did manage the shock of getting back into Downing Street I think there would be an effort to stop him within the party - and I'm not sure he wants it anyway) and decides to heavily cut back relations with Trump and the US. We would be pretty much isolated on all corners within a half a year. And these things won't go away anytime soon.

10 or 20 years from now there will be lawyer advertisements for people that have been hurt by beryllium and silica like they do today for asbestos.

It's infuriating that his supporters still claim he's the best man for working families and everything he's done (or grandstanded on without doing anything) is to further disadvantage, marginalize and harm them.  I'm sorry, but even the poorly educated know when someone walks up to them and hands them an apple but it's actually a banana.

I just saw this flash across my screen and my first thought was WTF is he thinking?!?!

They were talking about this issue (well, he's got more issues than Vogue magazine but) on The View - about how he convinced his supporters that everything is fake news except for what he says. He's the only one telling the truth and that's what they think.  So of course he'll tweet the entire time about Comey and his supporters will eat it up.  I hope he incriminates himself.  Has himself a few brewski's and then tweets something blockbuster.

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada for her to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

Does anyone have screenshots of it?
    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
