I posted about that rally yesterday.  I don't think it's his re-election campaign though.  I think he was trying to distract the media from the Russian stuff by replacing it with a Trump lovefest.  But now he's probably blown it today.  And there is a possibility that it could turn into an anti because some people said they would/had gotten tickets (via the RSVP) that they would give to non-supporters.

I don't think calling him a pathological liar is an attempt to work with him, so if he tried to do that then he must've called it a day.  It looks more like he's trying to co-opt the anti-Trump protests/movement.

Then there's this:

Trump family’s elaborate lifestyle is a ‘logistical nightmare’ — at taxpayer expense

Ana Navarro (my new crush) hit the nail on the head....she said Trump put on a performance today to distract the TVMSM from the Flynn mess and his Top Aides being in constant communication with Russian officials during and after the campaign. Now, don't get me wrong....the man is proof Sasquatch exists and is an insult to whale [!@#$%^&*] worldwide...but this whole spiel of his today was just one more performance to stop the tide that is rising hopefully towards his impeachment or resignation. he KNOWS the Intel. Community is mounting evidence against him, and he's thinking he can distract.

there is only one reason why I don't watch Shep....I am NOT giving FN one ratings point. ever.

He may not care as long as profits come in. if he thought making FN a liberal network would give him the very same revenue.....he would do it in a heartbeat IMPO.

well, he signed a new contract not too long ago to stay. I ws hoping he would leave but they probably threw a ship full of cash at him to remain their one reasonable host. and who is flawed?

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.

    • The Dallas finale was the highest-rated episode since October 9, 1987 (Gone with the Wind). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of Murder, She Wrote was October 23, 1987 (Tough Love). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of The Cosby Show was February 22, 1985 (Shattered Dreams).
