Pleading my OCD, do you know how the synopsis is split between the episodes? blush.png

More importantly... STEVE ALDRICH! It's the first appearance of David O'Brien!!! Also, I never knew that Steve (and by connection, Jason, etc.) was John Rice's cousin. That's a factoid that I don't think has ever been revealed anywhere.

And almost the very first thing he does when he arrives at Hope Memorial is flirt with Carolee, who at this point is STILL pretty much only a background nurse known solely as "Nurse Simpson". Talk about foreshadowing of things to come!

Matt lays into Nick...that and everything after was the second episode.

It is too bad that no one that has RTV is able to stream it as a live stream just for the hour. It is too bad no one has a tv tuner that gets that station. From what I understand there is also a west coast feed of RTV.

I'd guessed that Matt laying into Nick was the start of the second episode since that seemed to be the natural episode break. A poster at DR said he'd been in contact by phone with the CEO of SFM Entertainment (who currently holds the distribution rights to the show) agreed that (in the CEO's own words) there was a "huge" market for the show and that he said the show would definitely be released on DVD in the future. The poster also said the CEO said they would be talking to the people at RetroTV about a way to get the show to more people. SFM seems REALLY committed to The Doctors. Color me shocked and cautiously hopeful. That said, I remember a decade ago when it was announced that the show had been licensed to Hallmark and it's taken this long to actually see the light of day (on a completely different channel).

It wouldn't suprise me if saynotoursoap would buy one to get one unless he doesn't get the channel

My Retro TV station covers a 25 mile radius in the DFW area but I live right on the 35 mile mark. I called and they said if I had one of those leaf antennas I could get the channel.

    • If you ever make it to the Paley Center in NYC (fka Museum of TV and Radio), in their viewing room, you can watch Days 1/1/73 featuring Denise Alexander as Susan. It’s her last month on the show before switching to GH.
    • Overall I was impressed with this week and fall out from the revealation.  I am looking forward to seeing the Nicole/Dana showdown next week.  I do wonder if June is going to be tied to Hayley.
    • I thought Adam and Sara got married? Although I do not remember any mention of her when Adam returned for Blake's weddings. But MA certainly got the short end of the stick storywise, as Marland's obsession with therapy reared it's head.
    • Didn’t Meg Bennett return to SFT as a writer in the last few years. I always wondered if they tried to get her back as Liza.
    • Millette Alexander got the short end of the stick once they killed off Joe. The Justin thing was a non-starter. Then she was briefly married to Alan's corrupt lawyer and HE was killed off. She was paired briefly with Adam and that ended because she believed Holly over Roger about the rape. Definitely, Marland had zero interest in her except as the therapist for the many, many of his female characters who needed therapy. It's not odd she left the show. One of the rare 1978 episodes on YT shows Alan going to Cedars for a physical check-up. He ends up with Sarah as his doctor. In between making mysoginistic comments about women doctors, he also openly flirts with her. It's very obvious they were chem testing Sarah and Alan. It's a really good scene. Bernau is both obnoxious and charming and Millette is amazing, trying to be pleasant and profesional without rolling her eyes at him, but at the same time maybe a LITTLE bit attracted to him. An interesting what-might-have-been. So it appears the Dobsons were actively looking for someone to pair her with, they just never found the right one for a long-term story.
    • I'm happy to read whatever you provide, @Paul Raven.

You've inspired me to add my 2 cents about this product placement debacle.  I absolutely HATE the way they are doing product placement in BTG. I really hope this doesn't catch on or evolve into more and more of these moments. It's incredibly off-putting to place them in a highly dramatic moment where we are still on the emotional journey with the character. What is next - Dani spraying the house while having a nervous breakdown? It makes me not want to buy the product they're selling. LOL. That's just me.
    • I always get the vibe that Martin/Smitty have an emotional abusive relationship set up... but I doubt the show will really go there with that element given that Martin is a Dupree (and we can't have the Duprees be portrayed in a negative light), and because it's a gay male relationship.   Even though abuse in the physical or emotional sense is a huge thing in a lot of gay and lesbian relationships. The Ashley/Naomi scene reads off to me for one reason....  Ashley was talking about the new scandal without any sort of mention and/or subtext.. considering she knew both Silk Press Sheila and Eva.  I'm not sure if the writers have forgotten, if Jen Jacobs isn't able to play subtext, or what.   It's just apparent the writers do not know how to write a young white millennial couple.. and perhaps they need to get a younger white script writer to be on staff... or let the actors play around with the lines to make them more natural/realistic.
