A promo I'd never seen before, from around the time Mel was kidnapped by Dan. I didn't realize they were already doing these artsy-fartsy promos.

I wonder what the point would even be. Do they need someone else to remind us how inferior everyone is compared to Phil/Shirley/The Carters? If this is for Sonia, why bother? Just have them split offcamera.

Given how poor DTC's casting has been they might as well just bring in someone random like Bruce Forsyth.

Well, Jim Branning might be killed off now after John Bardon's passing and Dot might need one more love interest so...Bruce Forsyth as Charlie's long-lost brother? Heh.

A Martin recast makes sense because Sonia's back, she lives in Walford (as does he, apparently) and his name's been mentioned more than a few times since her return.

I'm getting a teensy bit irritated by the resistance (tinged with teenaged girl fervor) to the very idea of a Michelle recast. Sue Tully left the show in 1996 and will probably never return. Michelle is Sharon's best friend and is in possession of the show's longest held secret: Grant is the father of her son. It's time they finally recast Michelle.

I'm terrified of what they would even do to Michelle. I have a feeling they'd have her as a shrew and Phil would win Mark Jr. from her side as he learns her son is a true Mitchell.

So did you see this week's shows? I read a little about them.

Sometimes I'm alarmed at how little interest I have in what EE has become. And it's annoying fans just make matters worse.

I did see the wedding episodes. A lot of it was entertaining but Friday's was pretty bad, mostly because I didn't buy for one second Dean screaming out "I LOVE YOU!" to his poor excuse for a mother much less trying to arrange her escape. It was about as believable as a weepy Phil allowing a sobbing Ian to collapse in his arms, which he did in the afternath of Lucy's murder. Matt DiAngelo's acting was so bad that it only heightened how ludicrous it was for Dean to have such a radical change of heart toward his disgusting mama.

Hilarious bit of Ross Kemp in that ad, DRW50, thsnks.

I actually saw Kemp as The Queen's Henchman in a panto production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Wimbledon about 10 years ago. I'll never forget this one joke:

Buttons: I gather you're a member of SAS?

The Queen's Henchman: Yes, I am.

Buttons: Very impressive. I've always admired what you Special Air Service chaps have accomplished.

The Queen's Henchman: What are you talking about? I'm a member of the Sondheim Appreciation Society.

I think the only ones in the audience who got that joke were me and my agent friend.

DRW50, are you watching EE again? I BEG you to please watch tonight's UK episode if you can. Maria Friedman is FABULOUS as Linda's mother Elaine and her scene with Dean in the gents at The Vic is something I'd hate you to miss out on.

date: Monday, May 5 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Anthony Pascarelli Dana is certifiably insane. Beyond insane. And I oop... Anita is about to pop off on her, and this is where it gets good. Oh God, Deadbeat, stop while you're ahead. You are not one to talk with how you treat your husband and children. Settle. Go on, Nicole. Tell Theodore exactly who his busted ass is. Not Dana comparing herself to those she's compared herself to. Damn, Katherine is really putting Eva beyond the bottom of her shoe with her insults. Savage, but deserved, because she called out Eva the first day. She knew, and not a single person believed her. Oh, Theodore, how dare you try and play yourself on the same level as Nicole; it's completely different. Mama Anita is up to bat, and she's going to come out swinging. And she delivered it to Dana in the way only the matriarch of a family could. Nicole kicking Theodore out "day by day" is everything. She's not taking this anything but day by day. W H E W... Katherine telling Eva she's dead to her. Wow. That's got to cut. Dana locking Eva's ass out and drinking her wine in her robe is the ultimate villain. True villain. Notes: Anyone trying to sell that Brandon Claybon (Martin) has improved in his acting must be lying, because this is laughable and bad. Next up for recast: the role of Martin Richardson. Omg. It's so damn bad. This man cannot act. At all. He's got to GO! Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) is showing how much she's been missed from daytime. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) once again gave an award-winning performance in her scenes. Outstanding, standout star! The montage with Tamara Tunie (Anita) singing "Amazing Grace" was a brilliant touch to wrap up the episode, and to allow us the ability of moving on on Thursday.
    • That ending was beautifully done. Anita took us to church.
    • Leslie is TRASH, locking poor Eva out
    • That !@#$%^&*]ed up for Leslie to lock Eva out
    • Haha - my bad

Beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace by Anita. Effective way to pull on our emotions, especially watching Nicole and Kat cuddle together on the couch.
    • The end of this montage would have been a good time to have an explosion inadvertently kill off Ashley and Derek in classic Guza style.

    • No it was the preview for this week lol
    • Wait, did I miss something - didn't last Friday's episode end with Eva arriving at a man's doorstep? But here she was with Kat the full time. Oh wait, was that the previews I'm thinking of? Haha, oops.  I can't believe Leslie locked Eva out of the damn house!
    • I'd crawl into a hole and die if Anita ever came for me the way she is Leslie lol
