Why do I constantly miss the great episodes? I read EE's previews because I'm going home tomorrow and won't be there in time to watch DAYS and it's yet another phenomenal episode. GOD, I can't wait to have SoapNet back! :)

OMG!!! Deidre Hall held Eileen Davidson's picture on her hand!!

I thought that was neat. If you can't tell, I'm a huge fan of Eileen Davidson.

Southern Honey, did you watch her on DAYS, or just as Ashley on Y&R?

I watched her on Days too when I could. I was in my teens then and could only catch it during the summer but oh Susan used to have me rolling with her "John BLAAAAAACK." But I loved Eilleen as Ashley, my aunt used to tape it and watch every day so I watched her on Y&R when I was a little little girl and still remember. I always thought Ashley got a bad shake as a character.

Haha, yeah, I was about 9 or 10 at the time and I remember learning how to record tapes, just so that I could watch that storyline. CLASSIC DAYS! I loved Eileen Davidson as Kristen and Susan. When they started expanding with the nun, then the brother AND THEN the beautiful movie star, I was just like, "This is too much!" Haha.

Check out these clips I posted of her original run!

I've been giddy all day because of those scenes with Marlena and the picture of Eileen Davidson. LOL.

Today was good. Roger Inman was the director and Susan K was the scriptwriter.

More action today than characterization. The thing that I noticed the most about today's show was the tone/atmosphere. There was a lot of tension in today's stories with J/M/Stephano, Kate/Roman, Shelle/Victor and Lumi/EJ.

There was also a LOT of foreshadowing in today's episode with the J/M and Lumi/EJ scenes. I'm really liking how HS is setting up the plots brick by brick by brick. He's still setting up all the dominoes and I can't wait till they all fall in place....

Can someone here at SON tell me whether Susan blinked her eyes a lot? I asked on another board and the people there didn't know what I was talking about. I could have sworn that Susan blinked her eyes as a tic or something and I think EJ takes after his mother with all of the blinking. But I could be wrong. It's been a while. Could someone set me straight on this... TIA

She did blink her eyes alot. I can't remember, but I think that may have played into a story when Eileen was still on Days.

I forgot to mention Sami/Lucas/EJ storyline today. It was brilliantly performed I think. Ali really played her heart as Sami. I think EJ suspects that she overhead him and is planning her flight.

Heads up. Someone from the show posted at Coffeerooms' today's board and asked this question:

new slogan

Posted by kikired on 22:23 12/18/2006:

hey guys,

I have heard (through the grapevine) that Days producers want to change the headline for their intro song. I want to possibly submit this:

"This is the time of our lives, THESE are the Days of our Lives"

What are your opinions? Feedback would be much appreciated!

I decided to use the opportunity to complain about Days' sorry special effects at the end of the show. Here was my reply:

No, keep it classic. If the producers are taking suggestions

could you please ask Steve Wyman to get rid of the special effects at the end of the show and whenever there's flashbacks? Could we have just a PLAIN black fadeout at the end and show the preview clips in normal colors? PLEASE!!! The special effects are VERY distracting and disrupt the mood that the last scene conveys. Often I'm enjoying the show's finale and then I see the freeze frame in weird colors and my enjoyment of the show ceases briefly. It's just that irritating...

But to answer your question, the show should maintain it's traditional opening. That's part of its brand and it shouldn't change it's brand for trendy crap.

Thank you...

P.S. If it's not asking too much, I would appreciate it if you could change the background music, particularly the music for love scenes as well. Make it more melodic...

So, if you have an account with Coffeerooms and you have a beef with Days about something, you might want to post over in that thread that kikired (whoever that is) started. Now is the time for your voice to be heard....

I'll KILL them!!

On top of that......

Getting rid of MacDonald Carey's voice at the opening of the credits. That's just plain wrong!

No way in hell will they go through with it. If they changed it, there would be such an uproar that they'd be forced to change it back.

"Like sands through the hourglass..." is a pop culture classic. Not just in daytime. EVERYBODY knows that line, even those who have never watched a show!

For the love of God, they even quoted it in one of those "Bill & Ted" movies!

Never will they change it. I'll mail anthrax. (not really, please don't jail me!) :P

Kenny, pretend as if you're in Saw 4, and you have to make a terrible choice, and you can only pick one: not change the opening or have Eileen Davidson back.
