Loved it. I loved seeing Susan's picture.

The John/Marlena/Stefano stuff was awesome. The guy kinda sounded like Stefano when he was telling John to shoot him.

Sami/EJ/Lucas stuff was really great too. Sami phoning Will was hilarious. The ending with EJ was creepy with that music.

Victor/Kate/Roman/Belle/Shawn stuff was also really good.

Very good episode.

Could someone please explain to me what the Sam Hill is Victor's motivation for taking Claire away from Shawn and Belle when that is his Grandson no matter which way you cut it?

The only thing I can figure is this. During the Cruise Of Deception, Victor found out that Isabella was his daughter. He still was an evil man at the time, but through her love for him, she saw the good in him, and when she was near death, she told him, at a pary and on a video tape, that she wanted him to turn over a new leaf. He did, and had spent these last many years being a good person.

But, he didn't find out she was his daughter until late in his life, and when the started getting close, she died. I think that his motivation stems from all the lost time he had with Isabella,a dn he doesn't want Philip to have the pain he has at messing that time with Claire. It's the gircle of lfe, and he doesn't want Philip to go through what he went through. :)

Never thought it possible, but Roman actually didn't annoy me today. Shocking

I gotcha, that makes sense. But still. People on soaps, particularly men, KILL me trying to hijack someone else's kid.

Oh, IA with you on that point. But, I guess the way Victor looks at it, he was never close to Shawn or Bo, so in his mind, it doesn't matter what they say. They never accepted him as their father and grandfather, and only knew him when they needed something. But, Philip treated him like a father and loved him unconditionally. So, he is in Philip's corner no matter what.........

And Bo and Shawn can go to hell, as far as he is concerned.

YOU GUYS! I just watched Tuesday, December 5th's episode! I am catching up! It was kinda boring, but so much better than the crap we've been given. Anyway, that was random, but I will probably be caught up by the end of the week.

I LOVED seeing Susan's picture! It was like going back to the 90s! Although I'm not thrilled that E.J. really is Elvis, Jr. He should be Will's age, not Sami's.

Can't wait for the REAL Stefano and Kristen to come back! I'm still convinced it will happen. :)

King, the show really turned around starting on December 7th with J&M's wedding. Since then, the show hasn't missed a beat and that includes today.

Awesome show today.

The Shawn/Belle stuff was great and I loved them finding out everything so fast.

The Victor/Kate/Philip stuff rocks. Loved Victor and Roman facing off and the Roman/Kate scenes. Roman was pretty good today.

Sami/Lucas/EJ was so suspenseful. I loved the use of Will here and it was very chilling as you never knew if he was buying what she was saying.

John/Marlena/Stefano rocked. The guy did sound like Stefano with the laugh and when he asked John to shoot him. Before that, he was muddering which I think was intentional to make sure no one caught on it wasn't Joe playing Stefano (for those that aren't aware of things like that). Loved Marlena pulling the gun on the nurses and just the whole feel of the scenes was creepy and eerie-classic gothic Dimeras. I loved how the death card appeared too and the use of the picture brought back memories. Seeing Joe in that outfit and Susan...come home Eileen and Joe

Loved the ending with EJ and the opera music playing. Chilling and classic Stefano/Dimera's.

Southerhoney, they spent a great amount of time on Victor's motivation last Wednesday. What he did to Philip (keeping the truth for so long) and his son going through what he is is what flicked a switch in him. He promised Isabella before she died that he would change and he held to that for the most part but almost losing his son and his son losing his daughter is making him do all this. That and Victor doesn't want him to miss the little girl he thinks of as his daughter grow up like he did Isabella. He is making things up to him in a way by doing this. As for Bo and Shawn, I think he feels betrayed by Shawn and thinks he and Belle betrayed Philip. Shawn and him have had several faceoffs so that hasn't helped either. Bo has never thought of Victor as his father for the most part so I don't think Victor cares about Bo and Shawn as they never really consider Victor family anyway. I think it's all a plausible motivation.

Really good episode. A lot of suspense and every scene was riveting. I was very excited to see the picture of Susan and then they mentioned Kristen! All I want for Christmas is to have her back in Salem! Well, that and a 42" plasma TV. EJ being Elvis doesn't bother me because it's a soap; I don't expect anyone to follow the normal rules of aging. No one on soaps is ever the age they should be--I remember watching when I was a little girl, when Hope was born to Doug and Addie. There's no way she should be old enough to have a son the age BB's Shawn appears to be.

I can't decide if EJ bought Sami's story or not, but she sold it pretty well. All that lying she's done over the years is coming in handy now.

I still think Victor should spend more time trying to get Philip's REAL baby for him instead of going after Claire. I understand the revenge motive in his mind with Belle and Shawn, but Claire is not Philip's so it has no logic to it whatsoever. Unless Victor is planning to obtain his other grandchild after the New Year.

King, I think when you get caught up with the episodes, you will feel a bit more confident in what Hogan and his writers have done. Things for the most part have picked up.

Todays show was really good. I loved it. Im so glad that Roman told Belle/Shawn that Victor might be behind the kidnapping.

I found myself wondering about the housing market in Salem during today's episode. Shawn, Claire, Belle, Bo and Hope are all in one house now. Bonnie, Patrick, Mimi, Billie and Chelsea (as well as the not yet seen Connor) all live together. Abby and Nick are bunking with Maggie. The Brady pub is home to Grandpa Shawn, Caroline, Kayla and Stephanie--and maybe Steve as well. Sami, Lucas, and Will are living together again. The houses in Salem must be enormous!

It sounds like it, Bree and PR. For now though, I am going to stay out of the episode threads so I don't ruin any of the little surprises.
