Cast members from “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” will once again head to the annual Monte-Carlo Television Festival, which this year celebrates its 65th anniversary and runs from Friday, June 12, through Tuesday, June 16, beginning with the Opening Ceremony and concluding with the presentation of the Golden Nymph Awards.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” will be represented by actors Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter), Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) and Tanner Novlan (Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan), while “The Young and the Restless” stars Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) and Michael Graziadei (Daniel Romalotti) will represent the long-running soap opera.
On Monday, June 15, an exclusive fan meet-and-greet and signing session with cast members from the half-hour soap opera will take place from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. local time. The special event promises a unique experience, offering fans a chance to step into the world of the iconic series, which is broadcast in more than 100 countries and attracts tens of millions of viewers every day. In France, the series airs on TF1.
Set in the heart of Los Angeles, “The Bold and the Beautiful” follows the interwined lives of the Forrester, Spencer and Logan families within the glamorous world of fashion and luxury. The series features love affairs, rivalries and long-buried secrets that drive the ever-evolving saga of dramatic twists and turns.
A signing session for “The Young and the Restless” cast members will also take place on Monday, June 15, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. local time, giving fans a rare opportunity to meet the stars from the show, which launched in 1973 in the United States, but began its broadcast run in France in 1989. Over the years, the series has retained its multigenerational audience by remaining true to its characters, with romantic entanglements, secrets, betrayals and redemptions. Led by the Newmans, Abbotts and the Winters families, among others, the series continues to draw viewers into the heart of Genoa City, the fictional town where the lives of the powerful and influential intertwine.
First established in 1961 under then Prince Rainier III, the Monte Carlo Television Festival is now hosted under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and includes press events, a jury competition with awards, premiere screenings, glamorous receptions and parties. At the heart of the Festival, the Golden Nymph Awards Competition presents a selection of high-level and unreleased programs, divided into four categories: Fiction, Feature Reports & News, Digital and the Prince Rainier III Prize Special Prize. The competition is complemented by two Special Prizes, awarded by partner organizations, with winners selected from all programs entered in the Golden Nymph Awards Competition.
