AMC will still be in a strangle hold by Babe

Doubtful. Megan is the one that loves Babe. I don't beleive for one second that Alexa is one of Fron's pets. If anything it will become the Colby show. Kay supposedly likes alot of teen stories and Fron's loves Ambyr and thinks she is the next generation of AMC.

I also think Highley is the one who gives Trevor all those stories as well. I don't think Fron's is the one that does that. I do think Fron's has his hands in the GH stuff as well as the John McBain stuff however I think Babe and Todd are writers pets more then Fron's pets.

If/when Smith and Alden become HW's of an ABCD soap, DO NOT expect them to be the savior because as long as Frons is still in charge, GH will still be the "Sonny, Jason and Sam Show" OLTL will still revolve around John McMummy and Todd and AMC will still be in a strangle hold by Babe.

Expect a slower pace where ever Smith becomes HW. You really got to ask youself, "why was Jack Smith and Kay Alden let go from Y&R?" LML was brought in while Smith and Alden were still HW and co-HW. Don't expect too much because you may get let down. (But something is better that nothing).

I'm looking for a change, it has to be better than it is now. Something new, something different, anything other then Guza.

I'm not expecting changes tomororw, but I want to see something within 6 months to a year if and when a new HW comes to GH. This show is a mess, all of ABCD is a mess and I do not envy the person or persons who take on this catastrophy.

Frons and McT both love Alexa. Frons more so because it's his history and my hope is that history repeates itself like it did with Courtney and Jen and Babe also leaves. Frons compared Alexa Havins to Bette Davis. Can you believe it? I wish Bette Davis could rise from the dead and smack the [!@#$%^&*] out of Frons for that comment.

I don't expect a new HW to solve all of AMC's problems but I will take any improvement I can get right now. And even if Babe is featured all the time, the difference will be in how she is featured and written. McT props characters and uses other characters to boost Babe so everyone, everything is about one character. It gets very old quickly. I am hoping a new writer won't prop characters anymore and actually write for them. Better writing and more character driven storylines will help the show immensely. That is what I hope anyway.

Who knows what will happen with Alden and Smith. They may just do consulting or they may eventually be turned into HW's. I do agree that it is interesting that ABC took the time and money to get them away from CBS. That couldn't have been cheap. So I think that they must have bigger plans for them but I could be wrong.

With all the talk of the budgets for the soaps, where is the money to pay the consults to come from?

Even if Alden has to keep Babe on every day, maybe she can return the character to her white-trash skank roots and stop having all the other characters prop her as "doing the wrong things for the right reasons" as Bianca said one day last week. I wouldn't mind Babe so much if everyone else in Pine Valley saw her as the self-centered vixen I do.

If I'm not mistaken, Y&R has always had character-driven storytelling, right? If only Kay Alden could turn AMC back into a character-driven show again!

Please let her become McT's replacement and let it happen within the next month. No matter how bad her previous work on Y&R may have been, she will be an improvement over McTrash.

Anyone remember Adam switching his sperm with Jake's to impregnate Liza like 9 years ago? That was during her second stint. More recently she had Greenlee stealing Ryan's sperm. ugh

A great team would be Burton Armus and Jeff Beldner as co-head writers! That would be the perfect mix of old and new blood.

It is weird that OLTL is getting the ugly stepchild treatment again. Higley has had her moments, but they were either way to brief -- the Todd execution -- or drug on way way way too long -- DID.

In my opinion OLTL is in the worst shape.

well AMC fans i know Kay Alden is better thatn Mctavish. She was pretty good on Y&R. nothing outlndish. All character driven. I think Claire Labine should have een considered.

I found an old quote by Errol saying that Frons has wanted Kay Alden for AMC since this summer. This convinces me that Alden more than likely is going to be replacing McTavish soon. Hopefully sooner than April.

thats how LML started at Y&R as a consualnt and each moth the titles got bigger. I am for sure that Alden and Smith will be writing the shows their at. Congrats ABC fans hope and help is on the way. But what about OLTL?

Even with the news that ABC has hired consultants, it still isn't enough to get me to watch AMC again. I will only watch it again if I know for certain that McTavish has been fired. The woman has destroyed the show and I refuse to watch any of the garbage she writes. Let's hope that Alden or Smith are quickly moved up and put in the position of HW very quickly. I would love to be able to watch the show again.
