I know that there are some folks that like the Nick/Phyllis pairing; one because some viewed it a hot pairing, while others thought it was time to just split both Nick/Sharon and Phyllis/Jack. However, I've always thought it would have been more interesting to have seen a Phyllis/Neil pairing. Here is my reasons:

First off, it would have immediately sparked the feud between Dru and Phyllis. I truly missed the heated confrontations between the two of them; second, it would have been a mixture of emotions for both Lily and Daniel to discover that their parents were falling for one another.

Second, instead of pairing Neil with Carmen (didn't like that at all after awhile), they could have put Neil and Phyllis closer together the same way (business soon mixed with pleasure), and when Dru returned from Europe, she would see her arch nemesis with her one true love.

It may be just me, but they would have had a lot more storyline for both Dru/Phyllis and Neil. No, I wouldn't have wanted Phyllis to wind up having Neil's love child, however, I would have loved to have seen Dru and Phyllis in a serious cat fight over Neil.

I agree it would have made for the better story. And sparred us Nick and Phyllis and their schmoopy crap.

Hell No I rather see her hook up with Malcolm. But I do want Dru & Jack.

I think it would have been way better. Phyllis could have still been a [!@#$%^&*] instead of this nice person we see. Also, they could have still made her pregnant but have Jack revealed as the father later on. Picture Dru's face when Phyllis announces she's pregnant.

I'm on the fence about that. I LOVE my Phick, but a few months ago while Dru was still in Europe, Neil and Phyllis had dinner together and I definatly saw some sparks between the two. That would have taken the Dru/Phyllis feud to the Jill/Kay level and I would have loved every minute of it. It would have also been good to see how Lily and Daniel handle her father and his mother being together. But, I'm glad they didn't do that because we didn't need to see Phyllis help break up any more marriages than she already has. The haters are on her enough already, she doesn't need anymore hate.

I love Nick/Phillis, but I think it would have been interesting to have gone there for a while anyway, in the several scenes that Phil and Neil have had they seem to have had great chemistry, so it could have worked, plus she would have make Neil somewhat more interesting, though he has gotten better lately, seeing has LML has given him a real storyline for a change.

But I do want Dru & Jack.

If it meant that Phyllis wouldn't have gone all Stepford wife on us and Dru wouldn't have been pathetically begging for Neil like she has with the Carmen thing.... maybe.

I don't know, this is a tough one. Let's just take Neil out of the equation. So that would mean that we'd get Dru and Phyllis fighting over a new man (I think someone like Lamman Rucker would succeed where Keith Hamilton Cobb failed) or Dru and Phyllis could decide to have a hot lesbian affair. Either one works for me.

Okay, back on track. I can see where some say that they liked Phick; and I can see some saying that a Neil/Phyllis pairing could have really sparred a truly heated Dru/Phyllis storyline.

Someone mentioned the Dru/Jack pairing...that would definitely have been interesting. Right now, we are seeing Phyllis and Nick together and Sharon and Jack together; it would have been the same thing if they would have had the following:

Dru and Neil's marriage were already on the rocks based on the paternity of Lily. There could have been a major rift if they played that out a great deal, and while Dru was away on business, had that chemistry develop between Phyllis and Neil. Once Dru returns, not only would she find that her marriage was still on the outs, and the one woman that she hates the most is close and personal with her man.

The one thing that I don't know is how Neil and Jack's relationship was like: Were they friends or just kept things more or less professional (mainly since Neil started at Jabot, I believe)? Even so, Jack would have had the same reaction to Phyllis and Neil's love affair as he had when discovering Nick and Phyllis. It would have been explosive all the same.

Also, rather than Jack comforting Sharon due the break-up of her marriage, Jack would be doing that with Dru, resulting in them physically comforting one another.

Plus, there still could have been the "Who's the Daddy?" only instead, with far more interesting and explosive results

I don't see any chemistry between them - but hey, they never explored it. And I couldn't be any worse than Saint Phyllis & Prince Dickolas - can it!????

The reason I said no to Neil & Phylis because he's a boring character like his certain niece I know. Dru is the backbone of the Winters & the Babers. & she still got to carry the weight of those two families all by herself. For 8 or 9 months I saw the torch being pass to Lily but now it's all on Dru shoulders again. Without Dru who would really care about Neil?

I dont know about romance even with me being a Phicacholic but friendship would rock and that would equally get under Dru skin cause she would not like the friendship.

OMG no. Don't you remember the awful pairing of a fiery [!@#$%^&*]y Victoria with Neil? What a miss-match. Neil has always tried to deter his women (exept for Nobel Olivia) from having a career. Neil is such a stick in the mud that a better pairing would be him and Saint Olivia.

No way! I have to agree with BadZoe and MoTheGreat on the reasons. Neil has only become interesting to me because of Dru. In fact, I was near elation when there were rumors that he wouldn't re-sign with the show. This Carmen story (couple with Devon's illness) have made me, gulp, almost like Neil. However, Neil without Dru. No way. If you're going the Winters route -- it was Malcohm and Phyllis all the way. They had such a playful, sexual chemistry. CBS censors would've had some serious problem because I bet their sex scenes would've been amazing. Personally, I like Phick. Phyllis still has some claws -- I expect they will be sharper after the baby is born.
