Two and a Half Men: Discussion Thread

They should continue 2.5 Men, but with Jake going to college and being the "ladies man" to Alan's old fuddy duddy daddy. Get Angus T. Jones to work with a personal trainer, keep Courtney Thorne-Smith as Alan's love interest, etc.

WB/CBS could save a ton of money. Plus, the show could still use Charlie via letters talking about escapades with porn stars and whores.

I always felt that Holland Taylor was an underused resource... maybe they could bump her up some? And what do you think will become of Conchata Farrell?

They can "My Three Sons" it and have one a young cousin or someone move in with Alan and Jake, thus making them the "two" and the cousin the "half," but f!ck, that's one of the most reviled sitcom conventions, so idk.

I've never watched an episode of this show ever, but this whole thing intrigues me.

Roseanne Barr Says She Feels Sorry for Charlie Sheen — Because He Had to Work with Chuck Lorre

Mar 8, 2011

by Kate Stanhope

Roseanne Barr took to her blog Monday to defend Charlie Sheen and took multiple digs at his "Two and a Half Men" boss (and former "Roseanne" series writer) Chuck Lorre.

"I never really worked with Lorre, as he was mostly drunk when he was on my show," the former sitcom star wrote on her blog, which also alleged she fired Lorre for "being a big drunk" on her show.

"I feel sorry for Charlie Sheen, (and Brett [butler] and Cybill [shepherd], both of whom were often out in the parking lot screaming at Chuck and crying) who has to not only be the bi-polar wizard Charlie Sheen, but had to toil as a tool for Lorre Enterprises Inc," she wrote.

Before launching "Two and a Half Men" in 2003, Lorre worked as a writer and producer on Barr's ABC sitcom, "Roseanne", from 1990-1992.

After that, he created "Grace Under Fire" starring Butler in 1993 and "Cybill" in 1995.

At the beginning of one of her multiple blog entries regarding Sheen and Lorre, Barr listed herself, Shepherd, Butler and Sheen as "stars who lost big when working with Chuck."

She also insulted Sheen and Lorre's network boss, CBS President Les Moonves and called CBS "the network of choice for the dentally challenged."

Barr defended Sheen, saying "those s--- Chuck Lorre lines could choke a f------ horse."

She also rationalized that he was "so degraded" by Lorre's jokes that it made "ingesting knock out drugs a must in order to sleep shamelessly at night" and "mask the soul decay that stared back at him in the morning mirror."

Barr also said she believes Sheen is currently not on drugs and is simply demonstrating the signs of a manic.

"Charlie, take a break dude. Go to Greece, Paris, China, look at great art and lay low," she wrote. "You got fired, dude. Anybody can do your job, really."

LOL @ Roseanne.

<span style="font-size:9pt; font-family: Verdana; text-align: justify;"><p align="justify">In the fourth and final installment of his web show Sheen's Korner, Charlie Sheen looked great, much closer to his well-groomed character Charlie Harper he played on Two and a Half Men than the disheveled hobo look he sported yesterday. Unlike his previous free-wheeling shows, he was scripted this time, delivering a prepared 10-minute semi-coherent rant that was full of viscous attacks on his usual targets, top CBS and Warner Bros. executives and Two and a Half Men co-creator Chuck Lorre.</p>

<p align="justify">After using the book cover of The Art of War by After Sun Tzu as a stand-by screen before the live show, Sheen used clips from Apocalypse Now ("I love the smell of napalm in the morning") and A Few Good Men ("You can't handle the truth") in an opening montage to The Doors' The End.</p>

<p align="justify">He addressed his Monday dismissal from Two and a Half Men. "What occurred yesterday was in fact completely illegal, in fact, unconscionable," he said. "And to quote my lawyer really F**k, f**k, suck suck."</p>

<p align="justify">Sheen proclaimed himself "Malibu Messiah, Condor of Calabasas" and went on to issue an "unwanted list" of people he doesn't want close to his "gold." One of them, Peter Roth, president of Men producer Warner Bros. TV, actually got praise. But there was no love for CBS Corp. president and CEO Leslie Moonves, whom Sheen called "Less Than Goonves." "You gave me your word so in turn you gave me nothing," Sheen said. Warner Bros. TV Group president Bruce Rosenblum, who has been overseeing the studio's dealings with Sheen, also got a nickname from the actor, Bruce Daisyandwilt. "It's over tiny man," Sheen said. "Grab ankles and accept your fate." As usual, the worst insults were reserved for Sheen's current enemy No. 1, Lorre, whom Sheen called "Chuck E. Cheeseball." "Where are you hiding silly clown? Behind your narcissim?" Sheen's anti-Lorre rant quickly turned into high-school name-calling.</p>

<p align="justify">Sheen kept the military rhetoric going with his closing lines: "Stay tuned good soldiers, I'll see you very soon. On the battlefield. Godspeed."</p></span>

^I have never seen those episodes. Anytime i have watched the show in reruns they never seem to show those episodes.

Me neither! Just watching the opening (those KIDS!) makes me wonder how anyone thouht it was a good idea. And keeping the song makes it seem even more wrong. LOL

I was so sure that something like this would happen. The questions is: will it improve ratings even more if Sheen returns?
