I agree that Bree/Orson are great to watch. I REALLY hope Orson's freaking out with the suicide mention is a sign that Marc has decided to redeem the character and have him not kill his wife (and that she committed suicide or something), because Bree and Orson are an absolute match made in primetime HEAVEN!

I just have to say that "Desperate Housewives", for me, is the only Must-see thing on anymore!!! I love ALL of the stories and the only characters I don't like are Bree's daughter and Nora. Edie is hilarious and so is Bree and Andrew!! I cannot WAIT for tonight's episode!

wow the previews for next week look amazing. Im really looking forward to it.

I cant stand Susan and her skanky little butt. I dont know why guys fawn all over her bc she's so not worth it. She was supposed to be so in love with Mike yet she starts seeing the new guy and sleeps with him. The second she finds out Mike is awake, she drops him like a hot potato. She brushes him off and treats him bad but when she realizes that things might not work out with Mike, she goes running back to him.

Ok kinda sucked tonight IMO - last week's was great, so of course this week is a letdown - basic DH trend. Loved the Edie stuff though.

What I'm most concerned and excited about is NEXT WEEK! Wow! That looks intense and downright exciting. I'm thinking and PRAYING that Nora gets shot and killed....but if not her, it might be the Laurie Metcalf's husband - whatever their names are.

GREAT episode tonight!! ...and an even BETTER episode next week. I kind of hope it's an important character just so a bigger deal will be made out of it. But I don't care, because I'll love the episode either way lol.

I'm so tired of the Gabby/Carlos feud though. I used to kind of have a "love to hate" Gabby thing going, but these passed few weeks I've just been hating her.

Also, I'm kind of confused with this dead girl thing. Are there TWO dead girls? One of them is this Mo'Nique and the other is Orson's wife and Mike had connections to both?

Good show, not as good as last week but good. I loved Lynette, Susan & Gabi getting drunk and Susan stealing Ida Greenburg's taxi and showing up at Ian's party drunk and getting sick. Also enjoy Edie & Mike together. Mike knowing the dead woman Monique is scaring me a little, I hope they don't make Mike a killer. Also enjoyed Gabi & Carlos's story, Carolyn (love Laurie Metcalf), Susan & Ian and Lynette threatening the irritating b i t c h Nora.

I hope that Nora is the one killed off next week too. If not her, maybe it will be Carolyn's husband or Danielle.

I'm also confused about the Monique/Alma story. I BELIEVE there is only one woman. They both looked alike, didn't they? Somehow, I believe Alma IS Monique. Why else would Orson tip the cops about that guy who had the affair with her? Why else would he kill his wife unless she cheated? (And I'm still hoping they redeem the character because he and Bree are perfect together--just saying).

As for the preview next week, I. DID. NOT. SEE. THAT. COMING.

WOW.

The promo looks SO intense. For the most part, things have been rather light and breezy but next week, A BLOODBATH!!!! I just didn't see that coming. I did NOT see that Laurie Metcalfe character shooting up the place. This'll be incredible, and even, scary!!! :(

I spoke too soon last week because last night's episode SUCKED!!!

Why aren't TPTB cutting their losses with Ian? He has no chemistry with Susan and watching her make a drunken fool of herself was not funny, imo.

Gabrielle/Carlos were good up until she accidentally shoved him out the window and he became a cartoon character who walked back into the house. Dumb doesn't begin to describe it.

Even dumber is Bree/Orson. You would think she would've learned after getting involved with George to get to know a man better before marrying him. Also, here's another dead woman somehow connected to Mike. Maybe he has another child that the writers will bring on just to get rid of without playing out the storyline.

Of course Lynette would hate the fixer-upper restaurant. It was so predictable that she didn't even give it a chance.

The only part worth watching, imo, was the girls margarita party and Lynette confronting Nora.

Hopefully next week's epi will live up to the hype.

    • Yeah, Ben and Evie don't start interacting in a 'we're going to pair them together as a couple' way until Feb/March 1977 when she recommends Ben paint a portrait for Jackie.  And Evie's working for Jackie so she and Ben interact and start to become friends.  That happens after Tim breaks up with  her and she's forgiven her sister.. and he and Hope break up after he covers for his younger brother for a crime that he had committed.  Jackie does come onto the canvas in December 1976 and the first months are her trying to snag Mike while she and Justin seem to play a cat and mouse game with one another as he's trying to restart things with Sara again. I often wonder if the Phillip story only came about because the show was going to be expanded to an hour.. and the Dobson's deciding that some of the new characters they were introducing could be tied to Justin/Jackie's back story.
    • Seems like the Dobsons were aiming for a Joe/Sara/Justin triangle or, having decided that Joe would be killed off, Justin would be waiting in the wings. But that never came to pass and I don't think there was much reference to Justin/Sara as time went on.That was something that could have been used later on but Doug Marland may not have known or cared. Also, when the show went to an hour they could add a lot of characters and not rely on the stalwarts, hence Jackie/Alan/Elizabeth. And after Leslie died, Mike went into Dad mode with Hope. Hope/Ben never took off and Hope was replaced and then dropped and Ben moved on to Eve, whose romance with Tim fizzled and Jordan Clarke left (by choice?)

    • Would anyone have any of these Y&R episodes they could add to the vault? It would be very much appreciated. • When I was a kid, I would watch DOOL with my mom. I remember Denise as Susan so well. And later, of course, on GH. How sad to hear she has passed. RIP.
    • I have to dig that scene up on YT. I'm glad they gave them some kind of happy ending, even if it was really late. Interesting! I remember Justin and Sarah being involved, but I either forgot or never caught their backstory. The girl with money and social position of course turns out to be Jackie. He sort of did to Sarah what Vanessa did to his brother! I do remember Justin started out as not the greatest guy. Kind of a horn dog. It's only when Ross comes on that he becomes the "good" brother. I only have some vague memories of Ben and Hope, mostly of when they were in a positive relationship. He certainly changed over time. "Chill" would be the way I would describe Ben (along with "handsome but kind of a yawn") for most of his time on GL, so hearing he once had a violent temper is very surprising.
    • Yes. That's called good writing.
    • interesting idea.  That makes sense, as MVJ seems to have set up each character development (traits) for future plot developments.
    • I really enjoyed today's episode. It showcased a lot of the other cast and I saw hints of storyline potential (Smitty & Bill). Martin definitely has some anger issues and I recall him being overly scared about protecting his family and having all the doors locked, coming out of one of his "dreams". There's obviously a lot going on there and I can't wait to find out more. I'm thinking June is going to be more than just the issue story of the week. I think she just might be related to one or more of our main characters. As for Tomas, yes, Alex Alegria is not the strongest actor, but he's pretty to look at and he emotes something. I'm just not sure what that something is yet.
    • No. Absolutely No. I don't know who this is... since it's just some random Twitter quote... But NO. The only parallel between OG Caroline's leukemia and Liam's tumor... is that they are both having cancer. That's it. Other than that... I see absolutely no similarities.  Caroline hid her sickness almost till the last moment. She was also giving the viewers signs that she is not well for days if not weeks before the diagnosis. It was not like Liam... falling down and hitting his head on a table and bam he has a tumor. Caroline's storyline broke our hearts, because of her attempt to live out the rest of her days with dignity and grace. It was written slowly and with care. What we are seeing right now with Liam is the complete opposite. It's begging the viewers for empathy and cheap tears. It's so in your face and trashy... I can't believe they are using cancer for something like this. Bradley Bell should never do terminal stuff again in his stories. It's borderline offensive to people who actually have lost relatives to cancer. To me it is.
