'Ugly Betty' Star Saluted in Congress

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera has been praised in the US House of Representatives for her Golden Globe Award win and work raising the profile of Latinos. Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis from California took to the floor of the US House of Representatives on Wednesday to publicly salute the star. Solis said, "Madame Speaker, I rise today to congratulate American Ferrera for winning the Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy for her work in ABC show Ugly Betty. Through her work, Ms. Ferrera is breaking down barriers for Latinos in prime-time television. I commend America and everyone involved in Ugly Betty for helping to break down stereotypes and provide a role model for young Latinas." The 22-year-old star is the daughter of Honduran immigrants and was raised by her mother in Woodland Hills, California.

According to this Entertainment Weekly article, Henry will be on every episode the remainder of the season and Chris Gorham will be a regular starting next season. They even mention Henry having gained a fanbase, lol.

Ugh - why did we get a repeat already? That was a lame surprise tonight.

Not sure why a repeat, it was prolly thought to get the acquainted with Henry again...who I FLOVE!!!

Great episode last night!

I really like how Alexis revealed herself to everyone already...she didn't keep it a secret for an entire season, which would have gotten boring quick. I like how she just out and said it already.

I loved Hilda trying to work at Mode - but I didn't enjoy Betty giving her a hard time and then IMO being jealous of her by the end.

Katherine McPhee did a really good job I thought. She seemed like a normal little actress - so kudos to her.

Just all-around great lines and funny scenes. It moved really fast and was really good.

I love Constance too! "You have to ride that squishy train" had me rolling!

This show delivers one liners like no other. I don't even know how some of those lines got passed the censors, but who cares, I loved them. The entire show had me ROLLING.

Vanessa Williams was brilliant today. Pairing Justin and Willhemina, pure bliss. Justin is the future Marc.

Alex is a prick. I can't wait to see how Judith Light plays the reveal. She was magnificent in that scene where she talked about losing him.

I loved every minute of it, well maybe not Walter, but the rest made up for it.

The Alex/Alexis thing totally came as a surprise. This show was awesome... it has such an old school real-soap kind of feel to it. Brilliant.
