Days: Friday's Episode

Much was made last week of the writers *finally* have Sami close the book on the Austin obession. Well, at least in my eyes, the had Billie do the same thing today in regards to Bo. Billie fully admitted (and acknowledged to herself) that Bo & Hope belonged together and that she could never come between them in a noble fashion, only as the result of underhanded trickery. IMO, this progressed the character of Billie greatly from the point where she'd been taken *years* ago and, once again, closed the book on one of JER's storyline obessions.

And I'm beginning to formulate a theory on E.J. Everyone has him pegged as a bad guy, but is he *really* bad, or is he doing bad stuff for certain individual's own good?

I absolutely loved Billie today, and Julie was excellent. She had me crying! I truly hope her confessing what she did to help break Bo and Hope up will be the beginning of a new Billie, one that doesn't need a man to be happy, and one that won't be influenced by her mother and daughter. If JER was still writing, we would have never seen this incredible transformation from selfish to being mature, owning up to your mistakes, and trying to move on. For once, I was not in Hope's corner and thought she was such a prissy, pissy, primadonna, so it was nice to see her rival set her straight.

Melissa Reeves was hilarious with her trying to act out what a UFO sounded like. And the cave was a nice nod to J&J's history. It's such a shame that they couldn't have been written like this at the beginning of this year!

My resolution for next week: I'm recording Days. You guys have me curious about what I'm missing and your enthusuasm is refreshing in the soap viewing community. I warn you though, I might have a whole big bunch of questions come Monday night.

Billie finally telling the truth was GRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT. I never thought that she would own up to it. I can finally start to respect her character now. She just better keep her mitts off of Steve and get her own man :P

Best episode of DAYS this whole week! So much movement, so many incredible scenes, and much more!

-Alice telling Patrick "I've got your number" was AWESOME and hilarious. Goooo Alice!

-Billie revealing that she did NOT sleep with Bo was shocking and fantastic. That wasn't even mentioned in the spoilers for the week. Pinson rocked the show today. She nailed every single line. :)

-I think Kate, EJ, and Lexie were unnecessary characters in this episode. Just filler. But I enjoyed seeing them.

-Bo solving the case was great. It's amazing how fast that went. ONE EPISODE! The end was brilliant and with no special effects. How many episodes this week have we had no SFX endings? I'm thinking 3. YES!

-Did you notice that in a one episode span, it went from day to night? Wow. DAYS is really picking up pace. I mean, a new day just started Thursday and it's already nighttime on Friday (today). Awesome!

-The Jack & Jen scenes were hilarious, entertaining and brilliantly written. I LOVE them! I'm going to be miss them...

Last but not least, can you all believe that it's already less than one month before Sheffer's material begins airing?

All in all, today's episode was the best one of the week, no doubt. DAYS is on fire and it will be even moreso next week!

Finally got to watch the whole show and wow..Julie Pinson really delivered today..Easily her best work so far, just incredible and so raw...So much character growth in just one episode..

I also enjoyed seeing Alice and Maggie again, glad to see Days using their vets...

Bo solving the case was awesome..I knew he would find the show, but i didn't know he would find the gun or the disk...That was a shocker...Great ending also with Bo arresting Patrick...

Finally Jack and Jennifer were hillarious today...fun stuff..can't wait for the cave scenes on monday..

DAYS has me back full time because of today specifically. I have watched bits and pieces of a few episodes the last few weeks, but I was home from classes early today and watched the whole thing....and WOW. Is this my DAYS?? haha I've been reading posts and all the excitement about Hogan coming, and I am as thrilled as everyone else, but if today is any indication of what's to come, I am even more excited! This was just such a solid episode of soap opera, and I will definitely be taping DAYS again. I havent taped DAYS for over three years now, but I will be happy to be back watching full time. No better time than now! :)

I've totally been loving Jack and Jen. I remember exactly why I loved them. Their magic is so evident. ...sigh.... :P:):D

The Billie thing was not in any spoilers I read and I liked that. That is what Days should do. Some things should be kept a secret because I think not knowing really made those scenes hit me hard. Pinson would've sold it anyway but not knowing about those scenes really made it more effective.

No SFX, the pacing, vets being used, etc-I could go on all day. The show is amazing and next week will rock!!!

Oh and one more thing-Missy Reeves and Matt Ashford were a riot in those UFO scenes. I am loving them and this is truly an awesome sendoff!!

Just finished watching Friday's ep as well - WHEW!!! I am just dumbstruck at how awesome this show has become in less than a month, and even more so, at how the actors have brought it up a few levels (kudos again to the unbelievable writing staff)!

Julie Pinson should save this show for her Emmy reel. I was not expecting to feel the emotion that overcame me when she was on the stand today. This is a terrific example of what DAYS is all about - heart and soul.

So looking forward to next week's shows, especially, Matt and Missy's scenes.

I read the EE and i'm so proud of Billie for confessing what she did to Bo and Hope on her own accord....I actually didn't think the hotel stuff would ever come out, so it was such a pleasant suprise to hear billie confesses in front of everyone...Beth has really done a great job in taking steps to redeem Billie, and has done an even better job of finally getting her out of Bope's lives...

can't wait to watch the episode..

Kev, I did NOT read the early edition and was ever more pleasantly surprised!! Spoiler-free is the way to go. I did NOT expect, in a million years, that Billie would take to the stand with THAT information. After all, up until now, hasn't Bo seen her as 'good' again? She hasn't been manipulating against Bo and Hope, to their knowledge (other than taking the wrap for Bope's son's death -- TOTALLY forgot that little man's name!)) So, very brave of her to risk being hated again and seen as a conniving, manipulative !@#$%^&*]. Brava, Billie! Although I have to say, CURSE the return of the "Bille" hairdo...when will the "Days" stylists realize, the "Billie" is OVER!!! I much preferred the bangs and pony tail.

I was fascinated by Billie today. She poured her heart out to stop Hope from making a lifetime of regret for herself and Bo. It was easy to see that only a person who is capable of love could have done that. She also scraped some of the scales from Hope's eyes regarding how the pain of Zack's death affected him and how being Chelsea's father put him in an impossible situation. Hope blinded herself to that but she saw it today as Billie was talking. What a great, great catharsis. Excellent.

J&J were too cute and Enid was precious. Nice cabin.

I laughed at Abe blinking his eyes like he was a ballet dancer in a tutu.....too funny. I hate his bating Lexie. I'm starting to like Tek.

EJ and Kate were there to let us know about the new TV channel in Salem MYTHIC. Also, to let us see EJ opening doubt about the investigation into the death of Eve. Personal opinion: EJ knows Patrick has been set up because he did it (but I believe Patrick was the killer so this is sort of a double jeopardy thing) and now he's playing with the cops.

I agreed with everything up until "Enid was precious." Um, she wanted to KILL one of our favorite supercouples. She is OUT OF CONTROL and frankly, needs to be shot herself! She was funny but make no mistake, she was A-grade !@#$%^&*].

As for Patrick, he has been set up. I just know it. He didn't murder Eve and he's not tied to the DVD at all. Poor Pattycakes!! :(:(

I almost hate to say it because I'm afraid it will be jinxed but four out of five of this week's episodes have had NORMAL endings! NO special effects! It's almost unbelievable. It's so nice to see good soap and a normal good soap ending!!

Anywas Pinson was HOT. Billie and Steve were hot too. I hope this means that indeed, Pinson and Billie are staying on. Pinson has brought something unique to the show.

This episode was great. It's so nice to see Jack and Jennifer as they were meant to be. Finally someone has taken the time out for them and given them material to deliver. It will be sad to see them go but at least they were given justice.
